Just bought gx740 at best denki subang parade at rm4299, topup rm430 for add 3 years warranty, so total is 5years (2+3).

The target is actually gx800 but rm1200 different is just too much for me.

Hi I am interested in Panasonic GX800 55" RM3800 but now I see that Samsung Q60 is only RM3300 for 50" and RM4300 for 55" at SengHeng. Isn't the latter a better tv since it is a Q model? Price wise it seems that it is not far off.

Just wondering, does the GX740 and GX800 comes with Chromecast or Airplay feature?

I'm current using plasma TV model TH-P42X10K which bought in 2009.

I've been eyeing below unit;

Panasonic TH-55GX650K
Panasonic TH-55GX740K

Price range almost RM1k different.

What I can see the different between both unit, GX740K support Atmos.

Is it worth to get GX740K support Atmos? which usually download movie. I haven't try download 4K movie, not sure is there any movie encode with Atmos.

Any advice on this?

from plasma, may be you should check out the oled.

Since you already have plasma before, and if you buy LED, every now and then it will remind you of plasma. Can u live with that?

1. this TV supports Atmos codec, and it does not mean it will give you a "true" atmos experience (not with built-in TV speakers, more like a marketing gimmick)
2. and since you are only playing downloaded movies/contents (its going to be compressed contents and i dont see why the Atmos track will give you the ohm)

save the RM1K (invest in a proper HT system)

gx740 - smart tv

Normally Panasonic using it own OS where Panasonic purchased FireOS previously.
it is same as others manufacturing TV OS which had less apps than Android OS.

Recently only Panasonic start using Android OS.

650 and 550 is the only 2 series is running Android OS.

how is the 650 quality compare to 740?

I don't know as I didn't use it, but from numbering wise, 740 should be better than 650.

Also from spec, 740 using Hexa Chroma Drive PRO where 650 only use Hexa Chroma Drive.

From technical spec, 740 is also better than 650.
