Watch out for those FZ950K , but I think you've just missed the 11.11 sales where they have gotten insane discount from it.

55" can still be found under $6k ( dropped below $5k during the 11.11 ) . Maybe they will have another wave of crazy sales in the upcoming 12.12.

The sales are gone . They were some of the cheapest 55" OLED ever found on Malaysia .
A few guys picked the 55" for just under 5k last month and have been showing me their lovely tv since then .

You need to buy bigger than 65" nowadays for OLED. Otherwise, don't buy at all. Anyway just my opinion.

I have a 49FX600 tv and I find that screen is too bright and the white is like washout. I have tried various settings but still very bright or ain’t sharp enough.
Any sifus would like to advise/share your settings? Thanks in advance

Except Plasma has already gone obsolete and completely replaced by OLEDs .
( my trusty kuro is still alive and kicking and has a special place in my heart )

It is one of the most basic TV models from the brand . Comparing it with Plasma is not exactly reasonable .
For most people who are looking for TV in this price range , beside the promise of being a 4k TV you really should not be expecting anything .
Anything more is considered a bonus .

In some cases , those RGBW budget models can't even deliver true 4K resolution .
With that being said ,  OP's problems most likely have something to do with the settings .

For certain TVs , the brightness setting actually does not adjust the luminance . Instead it changes the gamma settings  which you really shouldn't be doing without proper test patterns and calibrating experiences .
Try changing the viewing mode to " Cinema " and adjust the " Backlight " settings instead of brightness .

Without actually attending to his TV , I can't really do anything because the description is too vague .
This is why we need to look for brands which have better out of the box settings and calibrate our displays .
Although in this case , the calibrating tools and services are most likely going to cost more than the TV itself ...

I'm current using plasma TV model TH-P42X10K which bought in 2009.

I've been eyeing below unit;

Panasonic TH-55GX650K
Panasonic TH-55GX740K

Price range almost RM1k different.

What I can see the different between both unit, GX740K support Atmos.

Is it worth to get GX740K support Atmos? which usually download movie. I haven't try download 4K movie, not sure is there any movie encode with Atmos.

Any advice on this?

yes , agreed but pana has some models by them selves along with these OEM ones
hence was questioning about the android tv why some models has it and some no.

The SA was very frank...own use pls buy pana 'ones' !lol

That's why those higher range ones are more expensive then the oem ones.
can agree why they go oem because knowing pana they won't and can;t make cheaper tv as their parts are more expensive
by OEM they can bring the cost down and win some lower range tv market with the popular android tv.

From a few of youtube videos, this is caused by bad ribbon connectors. Some suggests to clean it up, some suggests to push the connectors to ensure tight contact.. whatever it is, it's a hassle to open up the tv..
