Update on the battery consumption:
Since first day got the Note4 the battery consumption is really not impressive if compared with my rooted Note3. Similar apps installed with greenified all apps but the result is still impressive at all. As my mistake after open box i did not hard factory reset the phone and use it immediately. I use Samsung Smart Switch to transfer all data from the mighty Note3 to this new Note4. Perhaps some rubbish is also following. It is giving me wrong perception that the phone is not purely clean. So i decided to hard factory reset the phone yesterday. Done all the installation and transfered all important files back to Note4 after hard reset. So far from yesterday night till now, the battery consumption is still the same as per the condition before I hard reset it.. Fully charge to 100% yesterday and surf net till battery level drop to 90%. Switched to Ultra power saving mode before i slept. The battery has dropped to 88% this morning. And now the battery has dropped to 51% after about 2 hours usage. Brightness manually set to -3 level. SOT 2hr 12mins. So what's wrong with the phone system in 4.4.4? A bit dissapointed with the power saving perrformance. This post has been edited by edtai: Oct 29 2014, 07:37 AM |

QUOTE(edtai @ Oct 29 2014, 07:35 AM) Update on the battery consumption: Im also not happy with the battery especially the standby. Yesterday I slept at 12am with battery at 60% level with wifi & 3G off, wake up around 5am battery drop to 44%. Cannot beat my IP6 which can maintain 100% level at 13 hour standby with wifi & 3G on.Since first day got the Note4 the battery consumption is really not impressive if compared with my rooted Note3. Similar apps installed with greenified all apps but the result is still impressive at all. As my mistake after open box i did not hard factory reset the phone and use it immediately. Now the lag is reduced by a lot. Except some small stuttering. Thanks to those who help me. Sorry cannot join too much on this forum. Quite busy.

hey guys, i just wanna ask regarding how you guys manage your memory. since now it's kitkat 4.4.4 and you have 32g internal memory. so all your apps you save inside the internal memory only? then what do you use with the external sd card? just save songs, and movies using pc?

My phone on standby about 4 hours. Battery drop 2%. Hadn't really tweak the phone yet. Both wifi n 3g is on.
Initial drop is due to restarting phone I had previously observed overnight drop hardly exceed 3% over 7 hours I am just basically using greenify pro n intelli3g to control battery drain on standby Very simple tools. Yes is true my other ip6+ hardly drain battery even overnight over 7-8 hours. Battery level stays unchanged. The ip6+ battery life is way much better vs this Note4. No need to use any tweaks This post has been edited by benny888: Oct 29 2014, 08:50 AM |

I use ext sdcard mainly for video, audio, ebook, my data files, pdf etc. 32gb more than enough for me n still has 20gb space left. Notice some app auto installed on ext sdcard too but not many |

Now already tested Sky Force 2014 after format. The game run fast for a few minutes then the FPS drop dramatically like the GPU is throttling to make sure no overheating. Can anyone confirm this?

You use the default my files all the way thru? But still can't edit any documents in ext sd card right? |

Never like file manager n use usually solid Explorer or Astro file manager. All 3rd party file manager app no problem editing files on ext sdcard One of great advantages of rooting phone |

Just want to inform regarding the display.
For most situations, I can't tell the difference between FHD and 2K. However I saw a post on G+ from a Thai guy, and his user name was in Thai script. Between my home 24" monitor at 1900x1200, the Note 3 at FHD and the Note 4 at 2K, you can see that the fine details of Thai script is best displayed on 2K. The little end serifs and loops are very distinct on 2K. It should be the same for small Chinese fonts. |

The game run fast for a few minutes then the FPS drop dramatically like the GPU is throttling to make sure no overheating. Can anyone confirm this? Mine drop fps only during boss fight. But since ice played the game in my nexus 7 a few times now,the moment inplay the first game i can already feel the fps isnt 60fps constant like the nexus 7. Its more like 45 fps on the note 4 on average. But after the boss fight it returns to about 45fps and doesn't stay at a low frame rate so i dont think mine is throttling. Do u use a case? Maybe try gaming without the case? Those who say the game is completely smooth from start are just not used to playing this game on another device. Only then u will know the game isnt running at a smooth 60fps on the note 4 Need to try a few other games to see how is the general perf of this phone |

Those worried about not receiving ewarranty response from Samsung need not be concerned about this
As long as you had the purchased receipt is more than sufficient to claim warranty Ewarranty is just an additional step as part of Samsung after sales services Insist on your seller to register warranty if you doubt your set is not Msian original. In this way Samsung response is your guarantee. It just takes a few minutes usually to get Samsung SMS response once a SMS from seller is sent. Few days later you will get a call from Samsung |

So far the phone didn't face any sudden reboot after I remove the MicroSD card. Will test it further until friday.
