Oh yes delusional is the correct word. Yes a certain segment of device users are delusional. There is no wrong for their Chosen platform, and the roundish silhouette is the greatest charm of blessing for any device, regardless how crappy it is.

Sad to retire my note 2. Now serve as my part time Spotify music player and when I'm busy browsing with my note 4. It will serve as a YouTube video player.

Lol I think if gaming those multilayer game. Can play 2 accounts to transfer some resources or help each other.

I was wondering if I should tether my Internet connection to my note 2 and serve it as my GPS waze while I can focus on calling for my note 4. Just afraid it will consume more battery than using the note 4 as the actual device for GPS

Get a multisim ie Share n Surf. Same number for both devices and ypu can also share data.

Thanks
*
Yes comes with various freebies via the Gear Life app.

*
It's a gamble, since we do not yet know if Samsung is going to be strictly enforcing this here.

Me too feeling the same last time. I dont think now rooting phone is important unless we want to do a lot development on the phone system. Different people different desires.
*
It does not mean development. It simply gives you an extra dose of freedom, since the hardware has more capability which you unlock with rooting.

hows is the fast charging work?
do it really charge faster then normal phone?
my best  experienced is OPPO 7.
do note 4 as fast as oppo 7 ?
*
Oppo's VOOC is proprietary to them. From what I understand, they have multiple cells in 1 battery, which gets charged by the 8 pins in the charger separately, which is why it charges very fast, ie in parallel. Nice engineering.

Samsung's seems to be taking a brute force approach, perhaps Qualcomm's is the same, where they raise the voltage and push it thru the battery faster.

As such, the new battery is 3.85V default, up to 4.4V. This is a new chemistry.

Do not use fake or compatible batteries with the Samsung fast charger.

An update on the Gear S.

I put in a multisim, and made it primary to receive calls and sms. I also set it on Always On for Mobile Networks so I can detach it from my phone.

I feel that it will barely last 8 hours in this scenario. I had to switch it to PowerSave mode, which turns everything grayscale, and supposedly halts all other functions except for timekeeping, phone and sms. Note that I had to Enable Mobile Networks otherwise the phone will also stop working.

Verdict: As a smartphone accessory paired via Bluetooth, it should last about 12-15 hours with light use.

If you decide to use it primarily as a phone, expect to charge it at least twice a day if you are not on PowerSave.

On Powersave, you basically get a wearable Nokia 3310. But hey, the upshot is that you can switch it to color and read your email and browse the internet on it if you really wanted to.

I'd say a good first attempt by Samsung. Gear S2 should improve on the battery life.

To be fair the other Android vendors  like Motorola - their UI/features are lighter and less extensive so sure faster. The deep integration of features in Note like camera extras, S Pen definitely requires more development and testing time.

Haha are you getting a Note 4?

Yes in a sense.

This happens because people NEVER read the permissions and just click install.

No app should ever ask for more permissions than required to perform its task.

User error.

Anyone tested the CWM recovery? I failed to backup midway at data stage even onto internal memory. The CWM failed to detect my ext sdcard ( 128 gb ).
*
On XDA, some have posted that it will fail midway during backup. Maybe more spanners in the works by Samsung?

This is a point of frustration. I paid for my device and I should be able to use it any way I want.

I just bought a full flip cover case from Samsung Store Lowyat for rm149. You need to take out battery. When you close flip display turn off n opening flip wake-up display. There is a pair of electronic contacts at back of case. All Samsung outlets there selling at same price. Saw some knock off imitation at about rm40-50 but lack this function. And they boldly carry Samsung brand in packaging
*
Thanks uncle.

I personally prefer full body cases like an Otterbox, or at worst a full body slim TPU if nothing else is available.

I got some cheap TPU from LYP which actually looks quite nice to tide me over till something bulkier arrives lol.

I've also run out of velcro....need to restock.
