I would like to know what is the cheapest way to send stuff (parcel) overseas?
For example: Countries like US, UK, India, Australia, Japan or HK?

Thanks in advance. wink.gif

The cheapest of course is to use the normal parcel or registered parcel through post office, if the price is the only criteria.

Hi,

I have posted hand creams to a customer through PosLaju a few days ago. The hand tubes were placed in a hard box and even wrapped with bubblewraps but by the time the customer has received it, the tubes were dented everywhere and totally unpresentable.

Does PosLaju provide any compensation damage for it as my customer wants to return the product and it is definitely not up for selling anymore in that state?

Can anyone help?

TQ

Yes, the poslaju provided compensation. I think is RM300 (need verification). You can refer to note behind of your consignment note. However, the claim is not so easy (as usual, for government-linked company.....). You need to make claim in poslaju center.

I already expect some trouble involved but don't have much of a choice since my customer wants a refund.  sad.gif

Thank you very much for the fast reply! Really appreciate it!  smile.gif

Added on December 13, 2012, 12:24 pmOops.. Sorry one more questions, when they provide compensation, do they pay it to me or the customer?

Should I pay the money to her first or wait until all this is settle?

Thanks again

poslaju will pay to you, the shipper. I don't know how fast but it is not optimistic. sorry to tell you this. whether to pay to your customer first or wait, it depend on your own decision and customer service strategy. this i cannot answer.

Is the post office air parcel safe? Can I get insurance/claim it later if it goes missing? Others seem a little too high for sending magazine sad.gif

Not safe. Use it for low value items. You can buy insurance on it but don't hope too much. You know lah, their standard of efficiecy.

I want to send a small package (Watch) to Germany, only weighing 120 grams.

What is the difference between using POS's Small Packet Delivery vs POSLAJU's Parcel. Both are air, but it costs RM21 (+4.6 for registered) and RM100 respectively. I understand that i cannot track the cheaper method.

Can anyone share their views using this two services?
*
Poslaju will cost you RM125 (RM100 is without surcharge yet). You get what you pays for. Poslaju is express service and normal post is slow service. If your watch is expensive (more than RM100), it is recommend to use express service. If losing the parcel will not cost you a big loss, you can use normal post service.

If you are in KL, I can ship for you at RM105.60 using express service.
