I want to know where can I purchase parcel box and sponge for shipping cpu? Somebody please kindly help.
*
You can buy pospak boxes from post office, got difference price, largest RM3.80. Sponge/bubble wraps should available in most supermarket with paper sections. I found them in Jaya Jusco. Btw, you can buy from www.theboxcompany.com.my their location on the site. Different boxes and bubble wraps but have to buy in bulk min 5 pcs.

I will start selling Desktop and Notebook through online next month according to my plan.

I will start to with COD first to gain customer trust.

Then after few months, I will use postal service. How much I should charge my customer for delivery cost? let say Peninsular Malaysia only.

Notebook = RM?
Desktop + Monitor = RM?

When they charge us according to Weight (kg) and Volumetric ( Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm) )  ?

Who decide the method?

Then, can I ask the courier to come to my office to pickup the parcel and ship to the customer address? Will that cost a lot?

Can anyone share tips how you ship your parcel to your customers....

Im thinking, I ask my distributor to ship directly to customer... Is that a good idea or bad idea?  icon_question.gif

COD much better for expensive item.

If plan to use postage, go to bookstore find the delivery tape, usually come in a set with wrapper, safety tape(those type after you pull to the tightest cannot be open back, unless cut off), and a sticker(Fragile/others) won't be more than RM5/set. Sometimes the set come with bubble wrap.

Usually POSLAJU if big size will start count volumetric. However I inquiry Skynet(1 month Back) before that they only will charge per weight no matter how big.

You can ask courier to pick up. Need to apply. For your information POSLAJU and Skynet no longer accept individual application for pick up, it's only for company or individual who got register own registered company. Charging is same with normal way, but will only charge u monthly bill depends on how many you sent. If really trouble u to send, just go register an ENTERPRISE company and apply.

I send myself, sometimes I make rule like only send every Monday and Saturday etc. Normally will go to post office and ask for many2 forms first. Then wrap everything at home, fill up form, go take number and straight send.

If ask distributor to send, I think they call it dropshipping? Supplier would charge u separately for that. Unless he agree to do it for free la. Can enquiry them. Price seem definitely cheaper if you take stock from them 1st, than they layan you single order everytime.

Cheers

anyone here know about Parcel / e-parcel ?
i wish to know more about this service, like is it safe like registered pos/pos laju?
*
I have used parcel twice before under 1 kg is RM2.50(peninsular) only. Additional RM1/kg. Got tracking number and need to fill in form, my receiver received them in the same week(Peninsular-Peninsular). Tell the counter I want to send parcel, not the normal post which only put stamps on them. Need to fill in form and got tracking.

If your parcel not more than 2kg, opt for PosDaftar lor. First 20mg, RM1.70 sticker. If your weight is more will have to add stamps accordingly. I've used this quite a lot and find it safe. I tried sent novels/books, the most I spent RM3.40 to Sarawak. Normally RM2.40. So delivery kinda cheap and no need fill in form. Trackable. 3-7 days depends on location.

e-parcel never use but I heard the delivery time always delayed?

thanks for your information, and parcel = e-parcel  tongue.gif
so do you think it is safe ?
yeah  nod.gif
*
I feel safe just because it is trackable, like POSLAJU if it went lost, the record know on whose hand. But I don't know whether they provide insurance like POSLAJU. If your parcel value high maybe opt for those which got insurance? If normal should be ok. Even snail mail also kinda safe for me for small item like earrings etc. In my free gift thread, out of 94 sent item, only 4 never arrived through snail mail, also can't consider never arrive as some of the ppl received after 1 month =.=

If want cheap and not rush, normal parcel ba. Sure below RM20. The speaker got that heavy meh? I think 2-3KG. Pos Ekpress cannot fit them ler, plus dangerous, might break it. I think cheapest rate is POSLAJU liao.

oo..so i juz take my speaker to poslaju then say i want to use normal parcel?
*
For parcel got tracking one. As I remember 1st kg from peninsular - sarawak RM4.50.... U must wrap your box in white or brown, then tie tali, or u jus go stationary store, buy the set of wrapper+plastic safe belt+fragile sticker, 1 set ard RM5. wrap n tie it.

bring to pos office say want to send parcel. They will give u a form to fill in. the form like poslaju just different color. got tracking number on it. dont do normal post which is jus put stamp. normal post cant track.

To be safe, you ask them how much is the weight la, if just 2-3 kg, use poslaju fast and cheap. if more than that, then baru say wan use parcel service lor. At counter there, u say u undecided la, ask them to measure weight 1st. then u can decide wanna use poslaju or not.

I once done that. Undecided. I asked the post office measure the weight 1st. baru i decide use poslaju or parcel coz books are heavy. >.<

You as buyer got right to ask her, even now not too late. Say u r worry, it would be better if you are provided a tracking number. If she use pos ekpress, pos daftar or e-parcel normally got tracking lor, where you can call and ask when will reach u. I don't think a clothes seller will use snail mail to deliver unless she is really that kiam siap. normal free delivery given by clothes seller should be pos ekspress or registered pos.

QUOTE(arzule @ Jun 15 2009, 09:08 AM)
dear friends,
i really need help regarding postage matter.
i need to send back item (a china handphone) to china because it was faulty after i received it.
the seller ask me to send back to him and he shall replaced it with new one.
i bought it on ebay so i think it would not be an issue if i am going to be cheated by him as i can open dispute anytime.
now the problem is i do not have any idea how to send it back.
should i use registered post or poslaju (EMS) to him?
both have tracking number but it is matter of time of arrival.
what should i prepare before sending the item to post office?
can anyone give me guidelines on this matter?
i need to know what is the format for personal invoice if sending item to china.
hope anybody in LYN can help me by PM or post it here.
i really need to send it back in 7 days cry.gif
*
According to POSLAJU(ems) site, sending to China need 2-3 days delivery time frame. Assume it is 1 kg, RM75 not inclusive of 10% fuel surcharge and 10% handling charges.

Normal parcel, 13 days. Rate for 1KG RM44.80 net.

If must reach seller in 7 days, use EMS lor.

Personal invoice format, no idea, sorry. biggrin.gif

I am not sure for a single sticker, I just saw the sticker being in 1 set with a brown wrapper+safety belt(the one you pull to the tightest, wont be able to pull out unless being cut off)+Fragile sticker = RM4.90 in Jaya Jusco near the paper/letter set department.

Wow they give out the safety belt too? Then I shall request for it. Coz the safety belt quite useful, only can break the parcel with cutting it off. I used it for sending pc stuffs or jewelery stuffs. Normal clothing no need i think...

Depends on your area, but if all 4 items sent on da SAME DAY from the SAME AREA through POSLAJU BEFORE 2p.m., yes u will get all 4 together at once either 1 day after or 2 days after depends on your location.

I need some opinion here as well.

Need to some stuff to UK for my brother.

Pos Malaysia parcel service doesn't reach UK somehow....but their Poslaju EMS does which is RM115 for 1kg, 2kg RM145.
Just wonder, anyone know the better deal to send stuff to UK (Sheffield to be precise)?

Gdex website quoted me RM185 for only 1kg stuff.....
And they never mention how long will it take to reach UK, anyone can help?

Never send item to overseas before....
*
If not that expensive item maybe u wanna try pos ekpress? I think they only send to UK for international service. However only applicable in certain post office.

I have no idea about electronic stuffs, but I bought my bags from Spain below 5 kg no taxes, only shipping fee. Another case was I get my jeweleries from Australia, also no taxes. However, I think u need to check with Malaysia Customs about electronic stuffs. There are few categories on their website.

Hi, I need some help here.
I'm posting a parcel weighing around 1.3kg through PosLaju from 68100 Batu Caves area to 43000 Kajang area.
How much will it cost?
Is it neccessary to tie the parcel with rafia string?
Is there anything else I need to do before going to the post office?

Thanks =)
*
For that weight is around RM11 included taxes, handling fee, and surcharge. Wrap it with the brown paper. Write To Address and From Address on the parcel. Rafia thing not necessary, but use also can, depends on what are you sending. If just clothes and paper stuffs should be good enough with brown paper.

Just visit the counter, tell them you wanted to do POSLAJU. Then they will give you the form, fill in. Details you should fill in, Receiver Name, Address and Phone, Sender Name, Address and Phone and also what stuff you are sending.

Hello, I have some questions in my mind.. hope u all can help me out =D
THANKS A MILLION!!

1) in pos m'sia website, "parcel rates"= registered post?
2) the pos express envelope, when posting out, only pay for the pos express envelope price? no additional charge?

3) Can i use pos express envelope to post under pos laju? =.='''
*
Hi,
1. Parcel rate is normal postage for parcel, reaching in 5 days and above. Will need to fill in form and got tracking number. Go counter and tell them 'saya nak hantar parcel'. if ur parcel is big please tie it also.

registered pos = posdaftar for documents or parcel less than 2kg. go counter say 'saya nak buat posdaftar' 3-7 days

2. Buy the envelope at the counter, just say Pos Ekpress RM3, then they will give u the envelope. Go put your things and seal, remember to keep the tracking number, then put it in Pos Ekpress Box, usually in the post office or outside the post office, normally beside the normal post box.

3. No, pos ekpress envelope itself already fast service. different between pos ekpress and poslaju, pos ekpress no need sign to receive, but poslaju need. pos ekpress as long as it fits into the given envelope(diff price diff size) then can seal and send d. poslaju kira weight one.

but i do you tracking with the tracking no.? do you need to go to the post off.?

Tracking number can be check online. If the tracking number not exist(sometimes online never update yet) you can always call 1300300300 and provide them the tracking number to check.

For parcel, below services got tracking number,
POSDAFTAR-Just buy sticker and additional stamps according to weight, Sticker got tracking number. Suits 2KG and below.
POSLAJU-Need to fill in form. Form got tracking.
POS EKPRESS-Buy the envelopes, on envelopes for tracking number.
PARCEL-Fill in form. Parcel must be big enough to use this service normally. Need to tie the parcel with rafia. Looks like POSLAJU method, just that cheaper and longer time.

The only thing that can send parcel without tracking is, weigh it and then put stamps on the parcel according to the weight, throw in the POST OFFICE BOX or leave it at the counter. I did use before, normally takes 3 weeks. But not traceable so I just try once.

I never see they give any details on their site yet. But first 20g, RM1.70 for same and surrounding states only. Will add according to weight. Further a bit punya state will charge RM2.40, to Sabah Sarawak maybe RM3.40. Follow weight punya.

Usually 7 days should be meaning 7 working days. Sometimes are earlier. I used to import things from outside, normally state 15 days, but it will reach Malaysia in 9 days(including weekends), often I need to wait two more days for Pos Malaysia to send to me. So total 11 days including weekends. So maybe they stated 7 days, but can be faster?
