Indeed. Been using iPad Air 2 since launch in 2014. Still sticky smooth and performs beautifully. No point upgrading the ipad if it serves your purpose. The bumps in graphics and processor is negligible for most users, unless you do a lot of graphic processing or play a lot of games. Using my iPad Air 2 with the Brydge keyboard, perfect match and feels like a mini laptop.

Are you on iOS10? How is it on Air 2? I was hoping for a Mini Pro or at least some upgrade for Mini lineup but there wasn't. I'm still using Mini 3 on the last iOS 9 version but the lag was so noticeable that i did not dare to upgrade to iOS10. Now thinking to either get Mini 4 or Air 2 at discounted price. But Mini smaller size is my preference.

I got my ipad air 2 just 4 days ago. And it was already on IOS10. There's no lag on IOS 10 that I can see. and it is working as smooth as my i7 plus

Yes, on iOS 10. No lag issues. And battery life still superb like when i got it 2 years ago!

May I know what aspects are better on the Air 2? I may have missed out some information.

6.1mm VS 7.5mm. still prefer the air 2 over the new ipad. although the new ipad is A9, but the A8X is still strong enough i think? erm. just ask from Machine, i think the price for air 2 now is still same as before, so still waiting for better price maybe so i can buy it again. regret to sell my 64gb air 2 one year ago @@

No retailers dropping the price yet? Air 2 is completely removed from Apple's website so definitely they will have to clear whatever stocks they have.

Seems like a really good buy for new users and people upgrading. 128gb sub 2k Apple iPad.

May not make that much sense for Air 2 users bcos Air 2 was a flagship device when it's released but the 2017 lineup already have a flagship iPad pro lineup. The 2017 regular iPad simply isn't in the flagship category and those still in the iPad 3's, 4's and Air 1 may find this new iPad a reasonable upgrade. A5x, A6X and A7 chip upgrade to an A9 device with a decent everything else.

If you got the patience just wait. I guess the resellers will have to revise the price for iPad Air 2 later.

but who knows wat they sacrifices in order to make it cheaper..

Screen resolution is not the only thing that affects image quality on screen. It is a fact that less work is put into the screen of this new iPad compared to the iPad Air 2.

I want to upgrade from ipad 4 and waited in case ipad air 2 replacement is any good. Now I'm not sure already. I feel like ipad air 2 is better overall compared to the new ipad, except for the processor which, based from youtube reviews is not that far behind. But it's already 3 years old. Lol. I did ask an apple store about price cut for air 2 but the guy said still dont know when or how much. And worse is they only have wifi models. Cellular model are no more in stock. At leat for that store.

Tablets are now at their hilltop.
Nothing more to be revolutionary.
