No wonder feel similar. Btw you guys should not judge this anime based on episode 01 only. At least till episode 06. Next week Orge GNX vs 00 Diver in Trans AM. That's sounds interesting

The writer seriously screw up IBO, Mcgilis from S1 cunning genius become S2 idiot making IBO series suck.
Nah I like it. Makes sense.
Mcgillis was simply out-cunninged by the other guy, not to mention fighting 2 vs 1 odds. In war typically numbers win, unless 1 side has superweapons of some kind...
...in which case his superweapons ie Gundams proved unable to outfight the other guy's superweapons ie Dainsleif. Too bad.

It was stupid, we were led to believe that Gundam Bael was sort of ultimate weapon that had technological or mystical ability which would render all Gjallarhorn forces to be disabled, submit, or under her control.
Turned out Bael was just a symbol of a relic that the current Gjallarhorn just simply shrugged off and didn't give a damn.

I like it. I like to read military sci-fi. Most Gundam and our Eastern fiction features a lot of superpowered young individuals and mystical ultimate weapons. Very fantastical and sometimes too unrealistic. It gets a little boring. Can just watch Gundam SEED and Kira Jesus Yamato if I want that.
So when McGillis believed so much in Bael, and it only won 1/3 of Gjallarhorn to his side... wow. It worked, but didn't give him the overwhelming victory he thought it would. Thats a pretty cool plot twist.
Cause we want characters to work for their victories and deserve it. Not just stumble on the Sword of a Thousand Truths and then pwn everyone overnight.

In memory, Double 0 seems fresh as Gundam series go.

Then you realized that it has been 11 years, and now you feel old
Does this means this takes place after Setsuna merged with the ELS and before his return in the epilogue?
