Out of all the 10 games including today's deal, which do you recommend i buy? I dont own any of game.
As far as I know trine 2 not worth it, coz i saw in previous steam offer Trine+Trine2 only 2dollars if i'm not wrong.
So I'm thinking maybe the current price for all 10 is not yet the best price?
And i estimate can only finish 1 game by end of the week, which should I choose?
I'll only go through the ones I had played.
Injustice: I do recommend this if you always want to play like a super hero. The way the heroes moves and how they do moves, it does feel like you are playing a benevolent super hero from DC comics as they nail the feeling very well. The story mode is decent too with a decent but typical story.
Company of Heroes 2: This game is a mixed bag for me. The gameplay is better in some ways, like they enhanced the combat with even more destructable environment but they also removed the excellent commander system from CoH1 and replaced it with microtrasaction. The campaign is a bit shit, unless you buy those 3 Theater of War packs. Skirmish is quite fun, as there are a lot of maps to play on and the AI is good but multiplayer is an imbalanced state now. The microtrasacitons arent exactly needed to begin with as most of them are nerfed.
You can buy it for campaign via Theater of War DLCs, skirmish with AI or friends. Just avoid it if you want to play the story campaign and competitive multiplayer.
Can download and try if you have the bandwidth.
Grid 2: Not recommended because a vastly better game, called Grid Autosport is out. The driving physics in grid 2 is terrible as it feels extremely restrictive with the car drifts automatically in curves. There isnt much content while the series's well known multi disciplinary racing from F1 to GTs to road cars are all gone.
Grid Autosport brings back what made Grid 1 fantastic along with some excellent DLCs like drag mode and legend cars. Wait for that game go on sale as Grid 2 just sucks.
Killing Floor: Still the best coop survival game with very good gunplay and support by the developers. The only problem is, there might not be many local servers.Try before you buy.
Awesomenaunts: It is a MOBA side scroller that is easy to learn but hard to master. I played it a bit and I find it to be quite fun due to its charming art style and also generally good gameplay. Try before you buy as I dont know how is multiplayer these days.
Dont Starve: I do recommend this. Unique Tim Burton-esque artstyle with some very good survival gameplay. The developers are great too as they are very open to communication with fans while added a lot of content in its Early Access stage. Then, now, they are patching in coop too.
Payday 2: I wont recommend this, as it is a grind fest because I am not a fan of games that forces you to grind for upgrades. Also, dont buy if you dont have consistent coop friends. Try before you buy.
XCOM: Yes and yes, this is my GOTY of 2012 where this is how you do a reboot of a respected franchise. Still the same nail biting core gameplay but modernised with some new features. There are some mechanics dumbed down but it still retain the difficult nature of the original game. If you like strategy games, this is the game for you.
Get XCOM Complete as the content of the game is generally very good.
