I understand your frustration.

Good luck in your next handphone purchase.

Cheers.

The Zenfone main weakness is the short battery life.

I'm also quite weary of updating the firmware because of the battery drain with the new firmwares.

No point if they keep giving small capacity battery and the battery drain not solved when there is a new firmware update.

I already have the Zenfone 6 but was not quite happy with the battery drain.

Now using the Huawei Mate 7 which has better battery, Zenfone 6 now using as a spare.

I don't think I'll get the Zenfone 2.

QUOTE(zzzxtreme @ Jan 27 2015, 06:09 PM)
are you getting it ? 2GB or 4GB ram one ? So I guess we have to buy before GST hoh

The battery life is quite bad.

Maybe you should wait for the Zenfone 2.

QUOTE(kaimanpro @ Mar 23 2015, 02:00 AM)
Hi guys I am thinking to get an Asus zenfone 5 1.6ghz with 2gb ram. Is it worth the money? Any problem with the phone? I think zenfone5 best suit my budget which is only rm500. Comments are appreciated. Thanks

Go for the Huawei Mate 7 dual sim, both sim slots are 4G enabled and great battery life.

QUOTE(abu.shofwan @ Mar 30 2015, 09:05 AM)
That's a big no for me then,... It looks like I'll go for Acer E700 after all.  Even if it has outdated specs, it looks like it maintained 3G+3G+3G (it has triple sim slots). With its 5 inch 720p screen and 3.5Ah battery, it should last more than my ZF5. Anyone else know any mid-range phone with double 3G or double 4G sim slots?

I'm not sure of the price in Malaysia, maybe you can check out the Huawei thread.

Yes sim 2 can only use a micro SD or nano sim, you'll need to modify the tray if you want to use both.

You've to specify which sim to use 4G.

Cheers.

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Mar 30 2015, 02:19 PM)
How much is the price. To note, heard the SD slot uses the sin 2, so caanot use SD and Sim 2 at same time.

But do you really need both sim with 3g or 4g.

But still need to specify which is the default to use right for the 3g / 4g

I'm just waiting for the Snapdragon version and hopefully both sim slots are 4G enabled.

The current Zenfone 2 sim1 is 4G and sim2 only 2G, it defeats the purpose of dual sim if you need to take out from sim2 to sim1 to use the 4G.

hmm..... $30 difference over there is RM200 here  cry.gif

Most of us expected that the Zenfone 2 would be 4G enabled for both sim slots just like the Zenfone 6 which have both sim slots 3G enabled.

But it is a downgrade for Zenfone 2 with sim2 only 2G.

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Apr 14 2015, 11:16 AM)
All the dual 4g phones also can only can enable 1 sim at 4g at any one time. Snapdragon or no Snapdragon doesn't matter. For a dual 4g to have 2 sims enabled there need to be to separate radios.
