The Zenfone main weakness is the short battery life.
I'm also quite weary of updating the firmware because of the battery drain with the new firmwares. |

No point if they keep giving small capacity battery and the battery drain not solved when there is a new firmware update.

Should wait for the Zenfone 2 as they have the fast charge technology.

I already have the Zenfone 6 but was not quite happy with the battery drain.
Now using the Huawei Mate 7 which has better battery, Zenfone 6 now using as a spare. I don't think I'll get the Zenfone 2. QUOTE(zzzxtreme @ Jan 27 2015, 06:09 PM) |

The battery life is quite bad.
Maybe you should wait for the Zenfone 2. QUOTE(kaimanpro @ Mar 23 2015, 02:00 AM) |

Go for the Huawei Mate 7 dual sim, both sim slots are 4G enabled and great battery life.
QUOTE(abu.shofwan @ Mar 30 2015, 09:05 AM) That's a big no for me then,... It looks like I'll go for Acer E700 after all. Even if it has outdated specs, it looks like it maintained 3G+3G+3G (it has triple sim slots). With its 5 inch 720p screen and 3.5Ah battery, it should last more than my ZF5. Anyone else know any mid-range phone with double 3G or double 4G sim slots? |

I'm not sure of the price in Malaysia, maybe you can check out the Huawei thread.
Yes sim 2 can only use a micro SD or nano sim, you'll need to modify the tray if you want to use both. You've to specify which sim to use 4G. Cheers. QUOTE(cfa28 @ Mar 30 2015, 02:19 PM) |

I'm just waiting for the Snapdragon version and hopefully both sim slots are 4G enabled.
The current Zenfone 2 sim1 is 4G and sim2 only 2G, it defeats the purpose of dual sim if you need to take out from sim2 to sim1 to use the 4G. QUOTE(z4520ft @ Apr 13 2015, 03:04 PM) This post has been edited by xtemujin: Apr 13 2015, 06:54 PM |

Most of us expected that the Zenfone 2 would be 4G enabled for both sim slots just like the Zenfone 6 which have both sim slots 3G enabled.
But it is a downgrade for Zenfone 2 with sim2 only 2G. QUOTE(DannyOP @ Apr 14 2015, 11:16 AM) |

From Hardwarezone, Asus launch of the Zenfone 2 in Singapore.
The Zenfone 2, 4GB RAM, will be available in May for Singapore. QUOTE(|XcElLeNcE|;93211325) ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by xtemujin: Apr 14 2015, 11:27 PM |
