by the way I'm almost long time iOS user since 4.0 before that i'd used symbian s60
rarely touch on android stuff. eventhough i'm a developer.(very paiseh)
1: should i root it?
2: should i update to 4.4 kitkat or stick with existing JB?
if yes for q2 ->3: what's the main reason to update 4.4?
if no for q2 -> 3: what's the main reason i should update?
4: if i have any .apk files i can straight away install it into that phone by transfering to my microSD?
5: will the ZenUI caused troublesome?
6: is there any possibility to have split windows features?
7: I'm a sales person so what apps that whould be recommended for productivity use?
8: is there a very big different between the 600CG and 601CG for zenfone6 i mean interm of performance, daily usage, battery life and so on, I'm googling but still haven't found any review for the both comparison.
thanks a lot in advance!!!
Answers:
1. Unnecessary, unless you're going to tweak --otherwise, leave it. I think rooting voids your warranty too.
2. Just update, but seeing as some people had some issues here with SD card when they update, suggest you remove your SD card before you update and/or insert it only after you update to Kit Kat.
2.3: Kit Kat is much better OS, overall, smoother, lesser power consumption etc etc. You can google more info on this.
4: You need to enable installing other .apk files in the settings first, under Applications or Storage.
5. ZenUI is okay, some people even find their apps intuitive and productive.
6: You can download 3rd party apps like G Player (for floating videos) and more from the PlayStore.
7: I strongly recommend Google Documents, Quick Office, Google Drive (All from Google).
8: Normal usage, not much difference lah, you might even have better battery life with the slower processor. Nowdays every phone for normal usage is considered

already --don't worry. It's the hardcore gaming thing that's the concern if you're into that
