make sure your pc recognized your opo
download the CM11s 33R from as mentioned in the guide
proceed to flash CM11s 33R

haven't reached the point of needing the CM11S 33R yet? Weird.. I think the fking shop might've unlocked the bootloader already, but didn't root it. I typed fastboot reboot and now i'm back to my phone, nothing got wiped. Should I proceed with adb reboot bootloader, and then fastboot flash recovery?

hey guys,

Just now I tried to update my OPO to 38R via OTA but when I click "Install Update", my phone auto reboot into TWRP.

How ah?

I've previously installed M9 modem but already flash back to 33R modem.

if nothing was wiped, then yes, your bootloader is already unlocked
proceed to installing TWRP
then root
uhhh then just follow the guide laugh.gif

3 different ways you can choose:

1. install the update via TWRP:

select install
Then navigate to "0" > "Android" > "data" > "com.cyngn.fota" > "cache" > "cm-bacon-3628510d76-to-ac1ccf7921-signed.zip"
swipe to install

but i doubt this will work. maybe i would be wrong tho.

2. adb sideload.

3. reflash the stock recovery and re-try the OTA

LEL. used file manager to upload it to Dropbox instead. The .bin files should be 1.5MB each, EFS 32MB, roughly like that right?

yes. this is clean flash. not dirty flash method

no need to relock bootloader. CM11s will have future updates. save yourself from constantly lock-unlocking the bootloader. and if in the future you wanna do some other tweaks via fastboot, bootloader must be unlocked, or you wont be able to flash anything

done, wiped everything, formatted data. But i can't seem to get the CMD to fastboot reboot the phone, should I be rebooting bootloader in recovery?

at 33R now.

what's the difference if i sideload or just OTA to 38R?

It's the same thing actually, just way of updating the system.

That's why i said earlier, just fastboot and flash to the newest signed fastboot package is the fastest no need wait for OTA or sideload sweat.gif

I'll just post the cyngn 38R fastboot download link below.
