QUOTE(wKkaY @ Oct 4 2007, 08:01 PM) Sigh. I gave you advice to book earlier in the future and cautioned you that it's not snap-easy to get a ticket during peak season, neither is it to get a refund for a partial ticket. If that isn't being helpful, what is? ooooo interesting ...interesting ... dah....wan to go back also cannot ...bbq here lol this summer lolx..anyone with me or im alone Look, I went through the same situation as you okay; I booked my flight late and the first available flight was past my ticket expiry. SIA told me that due to IATA regulations my partially-used ticket couldn't be refunded. I almost forfeited my ticket had it not been for a personal favor from a friend's mother's friend within SIA. |

QUOTE(chris_c28 @ Oct 7 2007, 03:34 AM) What do you mean by our ringgit being a joke? It has been performing quite well actually. It's the Australian dollar that is appreciating against all major currencies. it is appreciating against USD, but stag to drop within the euro and aud.ringgit really a joke man, after conversion etc etc ... provide the higher standard ard the world, i dont think you can survive outside the world with ringgit. no offence, this is my opinion. hahaha , here the wages is really high.
Added on October 12, 2007, 10:06 pmAvalon Airport still on AirAsiaX radar Danny Lannen 11Oct07 AIRASIAX is wading through airspace regulation in its bid to fly into Victoria and maintains Avalon Airport remains its preferred destination. Chief executive Asran Osman-Rani said yesterday locking in air rights remained a key part of the puzzle for the budget airline, along with securing aircraft. ``Things are definitely in motion,'' Mr Osman-Rani said. ``I think there are key meetings happening with key decisions which governments are both working on, but I don't think we're in a position to be specific about. ``What we're basically seeking is obviously support from both governments to make it work for us and I think both governments are keen.'' AirAsiaX will launch flights between Kuala Lumpur and the Gold Coast next month with one A330 aircraft. It has ordered 15 more and will get two of them next year. The Air Asia subsidiary has offered one-way introductory Gold Coast fares of $99 and plans to keep one-way seats available at $199. Air Asia announced in June it wanted to fly into Avalon. ``We basically remain committed to getting a route into Victoria, we're dealing with the Victorian government,'' Mr Osman-Rani said yesterday. ``At this stage we are just saying Victoria but we are definitely continuing discussions with Avalon and it remains our preferred airport in Victoria.'' Avalon Airport general manager Tim Anderson declined to comment on the progress of negotiations yesterday but confirmed a relationship with AirAsiaX remained strong. Industry sources have confirmed Avalon owner Linfox is well advanced in planning a $10-million international terminal for the airport and the City of Greater Geelong has issued a formal planning permit. Mr Osman-Rani said the Australian venture had generated strong interest in Malaysia. ``We've had a lot of takers particularly from Malaysia to come down which is good for your tourism,'' he said. ``We're selling the whole kangaroo and koala bear experience to Malaysians.''
