I'm buying a new CX5 2.5L and what I'm worried is the tyre size. 225/55R19. Seems like not many shops have this tyre size. And the price is damn expensive.

Anyone has already the problem on getting the tyre?

they don't keep this tyre at shop but you can book and ask the price. When they have the right tyres for you they will call you back. smile.gif

its not a problem anyway. The only problem is the 'price' biggrin.gif

Question anyone coated their CX-5 with CeramicPro, thinking of getting my car coated.

How durable is it?

http://ceramicpro.com.my/

My mom got her mazda 2 coated by ceramic pro. Went for the silver package. Honestly I dont think its worth it after applying it for almost 6 months, as I feel that the oleophobic coating feeling that it had right after it was applied, is now gone, meaning the coating has already wore off after half a year.

Even if you paid for 5/7/9 layers coating putting aside the price consideration, they can cut corners in the material they use and you as an average consumer wont even know biggrin.gif

My experience was I found out that some parts of leather and the fabric was uncoated and I had to complain and get it done.

Thanks for information, hope you don't mind to share information so others may benefit from your mum's experience.

What's the beading effect like now, maybe spray some water and take picture as it beads off...?

Also the cleaning regiment, is the car washed regularly etc.

Thanks for sharing and I appreciate your feedback icon_rolleyes.gif

The car isnt parked under hot sun VERY often, as at home and at office during office hours it is parked under shaded area.

It is cleaned by wiping with light car shampoo/sometimes without, once every weekly or maximum biweekly. While if its not cleaned after a week interval, it attracts dust and dirt as usual.

The coating on windscreen however does a fantastic job during raining season like now, however I believe it can be DIY easily by purchasing hydrophobic solution for windscreen.

Of course by forking out more for gold/platinum package you get thicker coating and glossier surface, I personally feel that you'd be better off by considering alternatives. Ceramicpro has come this far today because of its great association with mazda (be it mazda 2,3,6 or CX5) facebook group and partly its successful branding.

I am sorry for this not-so-satisfactory review as we had a bad experience with ceramicpro. Maintenance wise, we were told to DIY and were given a bottle of ceramicpro SPORT solution. Once the solution is used up you have to purchase it at RM199 a bottle (this price was unofficial as of 5 months ago and was told by Ben)

Water beading picture will be uploaded tomorrow

hi all proud cx-5 owners. im considering of buying cx-5.

Just wondering why they didnt provide centralized door lock to the car? The
PJ branch SA said it is because of the NCAP requirement, however when i check at NCAP website, there are no statement saying about centralized locking as one of their requirement.

im considering cx-5 or honda hr-v.. based on price, hr-v is 10k cheaper, but spec wise i think cx-5 is better. maybe any proud owner of cx-5 can enlighten me with which car should i choose.

thanks in advance to all..
