2.5 FL CBU...

iStop reminds me of my friends driving in Switzerland, she turn-off engine at traffic lights.

The engine restarts faster on the Mazda, and the lack of engine vibration is kinda disconcerting at first shocking.gif

edit: Found this http://www.myswissalps.com/car/trafficregulations

You're advised to turn off the engine when you need to wait for traffic lights, railroad crossings, etc. Sometimes this is obligatory;

i just did my first 1k service too but i just stick back to semi syn engine oil. was told that if we use fully syn, we would have to monitor n top up the engine oil every now and then.. too much hassle for me.

i do know some forumers dont mind using the stock semi syn engine oil and subsequently change it elsewhere just to keep the warranty intact.

Well of course it is not necessary, opinions may vary, read alot about users commenting not much difference in terms of power and FC while some users comment it did provide better power and FC. hmm.gif

Difference between semi and fully synthetic should be viewed in the long term.

How well the oil protects the engine, doubt there is immediate difference switching from one type of lubricant to another.

Experience servicing Kembara when it was new I noticed semi-synthetic oils breakdown and become black faster. After about a year I changed to synthetic and subsequent oil changes are a lighter brown color compared to semi-synthetic.

Driving the Kembara for 10 years liao tongue.gif never had engine breakdown.

Agreed just use whatever works... or if got cash to spare then use fully synthetic.

First 1k KM oil change is due next week sweat.gif
