Oh btw, did you know that bent phones are not covered under apple warranty? Someone tried to do a warranty claim and apparently cannot replace it for free. Need to pay.

regular IT savvy dudes usually don't use IE cause it's widely known in their circle that IE sucks. But when all other browsers start having errors opening business applications, you know that IE will probably be the one to run it correctly.

So.... iphone 6 cases are already being sold everywhere. I even saw in AEON IT section today for the ip6.

So hard to decide on a case to get.

1. Odoyo cases? I don't see any drop test or good reviews for them although they look nice.
2. Spigen Tough armor looks kinda okay.

How do you like your iphone 6 cases?

a. Do they cause glares when you turn on the flash?
b. Easy to press volume and power buttons?

that's right. That's so far the only case that looks nice and proven that I've seen so far.

On another note, it's fun to read the old LYN post dated exactly two years ago for the iphone 5, the last major redesign. It was still too early for me to upgrade so I didn't give a damn.

HISTORY REPEATING ITSELF. Haha! keep in mind that malaysia ended up officially getting the iphone 5 in december!

Haha I'm in the ps3 camp too, and an engineer. High five! Decided to hold off my ps4 purchase for the iphone. My iphone 4 takes too damn long to do basic task like start up spotify and whatsapp.



The damn thing can survive a three story drop, but way too thick. Back in iphone 4 time we didn't have glass screen protectors. Wonder how good is it.

Different year, different version, different problem. Same situation.

No idea on the maxis contracts, probably need to sit down with them and sort out the contract plans. Other telcos have trade ins, contract upgrade etc.

There you go ... the lack of actual good nextgen stuff made me hold off getting the ps4 for the moment. (I find concept of destiny a little too .... typical) , maybe the gunmetal edition MGSV bundle (hey you know it's coming even if they didn't announce yet). I'm happy with GTA V online.

We still haven't had a final answer for the warranty issue. May or may not isn't enough.

When tak kena then lucky la, bila dah kena then you know the hassle.

I got 2 iphone 32GB, one for me and one for my dad.One of them somehow developed a faulty screen with fuzzy lines across the display like a tv getting bad reception after 2 days since purchase.

The other one got problems with home button not responding. It only happened after a month. We claimed warranty from maxis and got replacement on the spot during our visit to a local maxis branch.

If you have been following http://www.reddit.com/r/iphone for the past few days you will notice bent phone reports coming in by regular users. Every few days you hear another report. I'm starting to get somewhat a little worried. one or two of those users were even using them in a case. What kind of case? One mentioned spigen neo hybrid...

Ok I just spoke directly with one of the apple resellers (machines). They will NOT entertain warranty claim for units purchased from other countries. They will accept for repair purposes, but it is chargable.

SG sets are also from resellers. There is no official Apple store in SG.

You can try ask epicentre malaysia see if they entertain warranty claim from sg epicentre.

They will entertain warranty claim for units bought from official apple store though.

Aiyah nevermindlah, the longer we wait hopefully more become impatient and go buy first. I've waited four years to replace my phone. Another 30-40 days is nothing.

So, less queuing when it releases here

You're right in saying that you can claim warranty in sg because when you buy online from apple sg. you're considered to have purchased from apple directly, like from an official apple store, and the product has already launched.

What we have in sg are official authorised resellers that honors warranty claims for purchases direct from apple. They have the right to be listed in the official apple website as a reseller, but not an official apple store with the genius bar facility.

The question that we want to answer is, can we claim warranty for items bought from other countries resellers from other reseller shops in other countries? According to at least that one sales assistant, the answer is no.

Unless maybe that sales assistant was lying, so if anyone can keep asking other places, that would be great
