This WAD Thingy is a bit of a pain in the A$$.

Installed it last night for the 7 days trial and when i got it running, immediately the message that the trial period is over came out. It prompted me to either register now or later but even if you press later, the message will still remaind there in a small window and cannot be minimised or canceled. Worst still, it freezes all you other applications and won't even allow you to access "START". My hard buttons which were designated to certain tasks as well we lost and I was there left with a useless device safe for the screen being lit showing that annoying message.

My heart sank to my back pocket, and I was contemplating a HARD RESET since I could get the thing to go off. A soft reset would automatically restart the WAD and I'll get the damn message over again. Thank god that after MULTIPLE Soft-resets, the Win OS booted in safe mode and it disable ALL Today screen plugins and programs. Only then was I able to access Settings --> Remove Programs ---> remove WAD.

So for those who are thinking of trying it, either backup or becarefull and disable the "run at startup"...Purchasing it however wouldn't be a problem as you will be getting the registration serial number....

is there anyway of setting a button on my mini such that pressing it enables me to go straight to the phone plus contacts list? right now, the button goes to the default o2 mini contact list. i want to make phoneplus my main cellphone utility. thanks, guys.

tmh1973: Start > Settings > Buttons

Select the button you want to change and then choose Photo Contacts from "2. Assign a program:"

Remember to have Photo Contacts installed though.

Ah... my mistake. Misunderstood your question. Well... What's wrong with accessing the number from the phone's default contact list?

well, if the call fails, it will automatically go to the default phone app. i want it to go to phoneplus instead.

tmh: i try to experiment tonight then see how it works out. The way I see, you may not be able to make the Phone Plus app entirely take control of the phone functions lor. If miss call land up at default phone app ok kua... Unless you can totally remove the default app which i highly doubt.

i got one question all si fus....
is about smart movie....i've no problem instaling it n i bet it has no problem working on my mini, but can all si fus here teach me how to install the codec?
i've install the provided codec but after i convert a video n put inside my mini the codec of the smart movie doesnt support....how come?
the codec given in the converter is:
Divx pro™5.1.1
3ivx D4 4.5.1 pro
3ivx D4 video encoder
Xvid encoder
xvid mpeg4 codec.....
all can be convert in my pc but canot play with my mini with a msg of canot support codec....
how how how?

Use TCPMP (The Core Pocket Media Player) to solve all video problems. So far haven't come across a video it can't play. (Maybe RM or RMVB... but the rest should be fine)

Oh cool. Im only using Wisbar Advance 2(Windows Longhorn theme) now coupled with SPB Pocket Plus.

yup use TCMP @ media player ... or u just use total converter to convert it to 3ggp

if so there is an option inside it to set the green button or any other hard button 1 or 2 as in when u press the button the pad will come out ... but i dont think that u can acess the whole list like the default mini photo contact ...

Smart movie is a trusted software and it has a good reputation...as almost every smart phone has it to play video with the best quality and the smalest file size...and i think smart movie will work way better than the one in the smartphone...
i got no problem abt codec when i used it in my previous smartphone but codec problem on my mini...
so here to ask si fus for help...
