Average second hand price around RM155K. But all auto box. Manual should the one to go for if you want high resale value.

True. Its also faster. But at the moment GT86/ BRZis the most modifiable car available. Aftermarkets parts for everything GT86/ BRZ is also plenty. Like every company has something for it. You will never be out of mod options. At least for another 3 years until something comes along. That Supra replacement will probably take its place. If you buy now, get the cheapest one available and you can mod to your hearts content. I'm seeing quite a few GT86 on the road also. The lower secondary price probably makes it a good choice. Not UMW RM245K for it!!!

they are what i would term "club cars".
cars which you buy to enjoy the endless cycles of modifying to be the coolest in the club.
overseas (with cheaper cars and track use) club cars are mostly street legal track cars which you can drive on the street yet have decent performance on the track.

i know someone was comparing it with impreza sti earlier but for me it should be compared against other club cars like honda s2000, mazda mx5, daihatsu copen, etc. because for such cars all out power, spec, fact sheets don't matter.......what matters is RWD, fun with club buddies, blowing water with mechanics at their workshop while they work on your car.

for a family man that wants a car that can do it all then 4 door cars with dual personalities such as subaru impreza sti, mit evo x, bmw m3 would fit the bill.

That engine is high compression NA. That is why it can produce 200hp from a 2L. I guess u can't turbo this thing.

Normal steps. Lower compression by adding thicker metal gaskets. This one true for normal 4 banger. But flat 4 i dunno. Probably can also because MCM did a 2.5Na transplant and turbo at the same time. hmm.gif

In the end, the engine should be able to withstand the dynamic compression ratio without any problem inherent to forced induction. Then again perhaps only low level of boosting (<0.5 bar) is possible.
