Then you can go to www.google.com/contacts to delete and resync back to your phone.

And/or use another phone book app.

U mean the cover ,in the long term, peels the back cover of your sandstone? Ughhh...even casing alone can do this?

Lastime i use S2 and chapalang cheap transparent those rubber or hard plastic but bendable type and it peels all the edges of my S2 till d metallic paint comes off. U mean this on your phone back cover right?

i'm using swype keyboard because i need chinese input tongue.gif

I think google pinyin input is the best keyboard for me. its a non-swype i think

I love it and it is irreplaceable because I like the up-swipe the button then can get capital letter 'T', swipe down get the symbol or number like 5 or comma, press it then is normal 't' so it minimize time without the additional presses to get the same job done. I love this kb, I used to have swiftkey but have since obsessed with this kb due to the mentioned feature that no other kb have

QUOTE(yakumo @ Oct 1 2014, 08:45 PM)
Hie.. I plan to buy this phone locally but how is the phone so dar in terms of performance ,durability, battery life snd sort, thanks in advance
*
I migrated from huawei ascend mate, huawei's flagship, 1.7ghz quad core, 2gb ram...consider quite smooth oledy.
The 1+ spec is among the highest in the market, so, very smooth but certain opening apps i.e. WPS Office excel bit lag (not my unit have problem, I believe is overall android biggrin.gif) so I m really asking alot there

Durability wise I think these guys are mentioned the back cover of sandstone, the texture will peel off over time so might need your average TLC (tender loving care), bend strength should be up there among the stiffest or toughest....and some x-evidence of water proofing ability. So durability is abit mixed bag of beans. I put the silk white original back casing to my sandstone so getting the best of both worlds.

Battery life is another dept liek performance that exceeded my expectation....The performance part I'm quite satisfied already, expecting more from it is asking alot from android set current (technical) ability which I believe is android's own limitation...in other word, the set piece performance is really *that* good. Probably much thanks to the cynogen guys.

the 1.7G quad huawei ascend is a huge 6.1, and 4050mah, a monstrous battery....can clock SOT 7-8 hours no problem has still got enough juice for the rest of the (quieter) evening. not expecting the 1+ to match but it totally gives more than enough battery not just after work but till before bedtime... can SOT 6hrs without breaking a sweat. Maybe lately abit quiet at work, I can still remain 40-50% battery after 5pm with SOT 3-4hrs. (I'm on powersave & balance)

So all in all, the phone really did a fantastic job, more or less exceeded all my expectations (marginally).

I would summarize it in the most appropriate quote for it, like the Razer gaming peripherals product.
1+1 is passionately made for smartphone enthusiasts, by smartphone enthusiasts (including cynogen).

hi all, may i know any OPO user here using ART mode instead of default dalvik mode? any apps issue in ART mode ?
*
QUOTE(DannyOP @ Oct 2 2014, 05:35 PM)
Not advisable. Causes some roms to freeze and end up u need to reinstall your rom.  Also some aps not compatible. Overall Art is still not ready for daily use yet. Wait until Android L officially release and OPO releases the updated rom.
*
I'm on stock rom, yet to root, have been on ART for several days now...in fact, since the 2nd day of us together...no issue or glitch at all..

But the significant improvement that I notice from ART vs dalvik is the wechat apps....the wechat very devour the android hp actually, I mean the operations is very 'bottleneck' feeling, meaning the photo load very slow and it 'kik' /not smooth with the wechat...but once ART, the wechat is smooth as butter. I was surprised...

I've yet to discover others as i've not very long on dalvik. I may revert back to dalvik someday and use it longer but since I use wechat often, it's hard to ditch aRT

Hmm...just checked...mine is under Balance..now trying "Performance" instead...do u think setting the phone to "performance" will have bad effects?
*
balanced is good enough.

powersave 0.3-1.Ghz
balanced 0.3G-2.5Ghz
performance 2.5Ghz all the time i think which will be quite battery consuming, more for performance test benchmark , no need performance mode for normal usage.

any significant diff ? noob here
*
Basically Li-po is arguably safer, lighter, moldable, more consistent and has more energy in d same size (say if the powerbank is 1000mah, can give out 90% vs 70-80% than li-ion), but shorter lifespan and costlier to produce.

Li-ion is opposite of all above but cheaper to produce, can produce higher (not more) energy , better life span but more volatile

In short, it shd be safe to say and arguably, li-po is more superior than li-ion batts

But the gripe is, some Li-po batteries r Li-ion in polymer casing so when we get a Li-po make sure its really the li-po chemistry. Don't ask me how i dont know biggrin.gif

More on batteries Li-ion vs Li-po

http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article...e_ideal_battery

Quote:

Improved safety - more resistant to overcharge; less chance for electrolyte leakage.
Limitations
Lower energy density and decreased cycle count compared to lithium-ion.

I was at a crossroad before, between a 3 weeks old used oppo find 7 at rm1450 and this 1+ new set sub rm1300...I took the later on better battery over vooc charging (due to lesser lcd to Find7)

I am using Capacitive Buttons since day 1. Never even use the On-Screen Button, it makes the lower bazel looks thicker. brows.gif  brows.gif
*
Yes the capacitive may make the LCD screen estate larger and the bezel thinner which is nice...but being practical (aside from using a 5.5" smartphone biggrin.gif), using the on-screen buttons are much more accessible and additionally, better grip of the phone while at it...

That's why my previous mention of the tinted status bar by jeff was fantastic, it made the whole screen look larger yet with the (arguably) 'more' practical on-screen buttons (also +grip)

I wish the on-screen buttons like my huawei ascend,
have a real tiny downward arrow on the left to hide the on-screen button and anytime can summon the on screen navigation buttons back by sliding up from the bottom lcd. real useful....

Tested ART and Dalvik for a month. Results:

This guy claimed less battery life on ART, another guy (didnt remember where I saw his thread) claimed got more than 7h SOT on ART.  rclxub.gif

I'm only interested with the battery life, just wondering if ART could produce better yield.  tongue.gif

I was on ART, getting SOT alittle under 5hrs with 30-40% batt remaining.

Just reverting back to dalvik and see how

I'm on 33R

I was using 1+ original back case, white. so slippery and expensive...more than rm65
Because the casing is hard, I believe IF i drop my phone, the casing will split with the casing after the first drop so the second drop will dent my phone. Sorry I didnt do a fall test with it biggrin.gif

So, I got a soft rubber back case rather thin casing almost over a week ago....rm15
I accidentally dropped my phone and the rubber casing really protected it well

Just now browsing some backcasing...saw this IMAK clear air case, watched the ytube and got to know it's a hard back cover casing...Anyone EVER dropped their phone with a hard cover casing and dent their phone due to separation of the casing during the 'fall-bounce'? Happened to me before with my huawei ascend, it using a heard back casing...it dent the corner of my phone

I saw my friend HTC M8 totally clear like IMAK clear case but it is a soft casing, really tight and thin...I'm looking for that ideal casing for meself...anyone got recommend? I like clear case.

Another advantage of soft backcasing vs hard casing is when u want to take the phone out to show ur friend of the back texture or adore it naked at night, u have to effort to pry the phone out from the hard casing and WITH extra care so as not to scratch the phone in the process because the hard casing grip the square edges of the phone might flex the phone in longterm while the soft casing is much less effort and without concern if it will scratch the phone because the casing is soft yet more fall protection , I believe. What do you think?

I owned Ringke Clear and Diztronic Black, love both and use it alternately. You can find my review of both cases on 1st page. But if you looking for great protection, i recommend you to use Ringke. Its a hybrid of soft and hard case. Hard case at the back, and thick soft bumper around the case. But you will find it bulkier, and the soft bumper is a bit yellowish though.  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Nice to know that they got the hybrid. quite choosy when comes to personal casing coz prefer thin casing coz still want to bask in the thinness and svelteness of the 1+ biggrin.gif

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Oct 10 2014, 02:07 AM)
I prefer thin tpu casing too but I haven't found one yet.  Currently using Diztronic I must admit I dropped the phone few times at waist height but didn't damage at all.

If u find any good thin soft case do recommend me as well.  My best solution now is to buy a spare Cynogenmod back cover and spare chrome chassis. Total damage rm70+, then I'll use the phone naked with just glass sp with a leather pouch when im carrying it. If any damage,  I'll change it with a new Cynogenmod sandstone back and chrome chassis.

Also plan to send the chrome for respraying to gunmetal and rose gold,  something different compared to other users.
*
your suggestion is interesting, to use the phone naked n change the spare 'original' back case but i doubt it's that cheap and still can replace the original cover so fittingly...where do u find it...

And gunmetal my favorite color of all time...I believe it's ur own custom spray ,right.

My first priority will still go for thin & clear tpu casing biggrin.gif

Edit: Pls check for ur friend's HTC M8 such casing for example that I mentioned. I adore his but simple clear htc casing lol such casing really bring out the best charm of what the phone is intended for.
