Expensive set of flops we have there. Oh boy questions have got to be asked as to how Rodgers and Co are doing their business.

QUOTE(chenwfng @ Oct 20 2014, 03:37 PM) We would need the Arabs as owners for team overhaul and top manager. I had this conversation with a few long time Liverpool supporters from Ireland before the West Brom game, if it meant success, would you or would you not want the Arabs in? Money is king in modern football. Top teams like RM, PSG, City, Chelsea and Barca share a common trait, they all have very very rich benefactors. Certainly in Liverpool's current spot, the money will definitely help us land top class players. Loyalty and pride in modern football? Forget it. Everyone's a mercenary nowadays. United's is pretty much in a similar spot with us right now except they have more money to spend on players. Without SAF, the only way for them to compete with the top teams is to try to buy success. Something which they claimed would never do If it's gonna bring us more money, I say bring in the Arabs and the Russians. Or someone who do better business than Rodgers and Co. So much money spent of fringe players.... This post has been edited by bitebug: Oct 20 2014, 04:02 PM |

QUOTE(kevafk @ Oct 24 2014, 07:19 PM) It is unfair to compare the Liverpool under Benitez and the Liverpool under BR. Rafa had to scrap the bottom of the barrel to get his transfer funds back then. Even then, Rafa still has a better record than BR in his first 2 years at Liverpool. Transforming Carra and Hyypia, signed Luis Garcia, Alonso, Crouch, Agger, Reina, Sissoko in the process. Not forgetting he was also partly responsible for convincing Gerrard not to move to Chelsea back then. Also the creme de la creme, the 2005 champions league. |

QUOTE(kevafk @ Oct 25 2014, 02:22 AM) I think you didnt get my point, i was comparing flops just because ppl already calling some of the current player a flop. I didnt blame Rafa, Woy, Houllier, Evans, Kenny signed some bad ones. I mean players come and go, you dont play well or not suitable or f**ing SUCKED then get out. We move on, we have couple of the recent "flops" already out of the club no? Nope. I'm saying it's unfair because Rafa had no access to the amount of money and resources BR has.Its unfair to compare Rafa 5 years LFC career to 2 1/2 years LFC career, its only fair if you compare apple to apple yes? |

Why does Rodgers can't seem to drop Gerrard? What makes him undroppable? Would you rather have Coutinho, Allen and Hendo on the field or have Gerrard on? I just can't understand Rodgers. Coutinho is only starting to regain his form back and there he was, sitting on the bench. Instead, he opted for a 32 year old who had just gone through an intense midweek game with no form.

QUOTE(sahathai @ Oct 26 2014, 09:54 PM) Just remember that Balo is a desperate last minute option for BR to sign a 'big' name striker as Suarez replacement. His first n probably second choices targets are all refuse to play for us unless they got a lucrative crazy wages which far beyond our capability. He was under pressure from board n fans.. When an Italy national team striker with BPL experiences become available at bargain price, he just kind of took the risk. Not trying to defend BR or Balo but just to understand his situation. Even so i still think we waste too much money in transfer not only this season but since the last few years. Too many so-called talented mediocre overprice players were bought but only a few that really worth the money. It's not as much as not getting a "big" name players, it's because of the choices he made and the current forms of the players, or lack thereof. Take Soton for example. They lost most of their star players and they didn't have problem replacing them. Clearly they're doing something wrong over there at Anfield. It's one thing to play badly. But it's another thing to play badly after spending >100m on players...This post has been edited by bitebug: Oct 27 2014, 05:18 AM |

QUOTE(sahathai @ Oct 29 2014, 10:01 AM) Last night i was impress with coutinho... Not for his misses thou but his character on the field is simply improved. He's like a captain last night, leads the attack and keep yelling at others to make those run forward... Oh my.. This boy is getting better n better.... I will pray for the time when BR has the balls to drop G in a PL or CL game. Like I said, does it make any sense to bench Coutinho for G at the moment? |
