Hey guys, I see that you guys are doing BT from Aeon card. I don't have Watami but just the Aeon MasterCard Gold card. Is it still worth to do BT from this card to MBB for 0% BT? Do I have any privilege from Aeon? Plan to swipe 3k there if it's a good choice.

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 8 2014, 11:20 PM) yes, bt question ask in bt thread here. Thanks for the tips. actually with your existing cards, you can actually bt from aeon to mbb and mbb back to aeon for 0% interest. lol... the benefit of bt to mbb is because mbb offers 12 months instalment, while the benefit of bt to aeon is because aeon offers points (rm1=1point) for bt. So that means I swipe 3k on my Aeon card then request to BT it to MBB, how long should I stick to MBB before I BT it back to Aeon? I didn't know Aeon also offers 0% BT interest. Looking at this logic, I might as well swipe the amount on my MBB and straight BT to Aeon? This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 8 2014, 11:53 PM |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 9 2014, 12:26 AM) as long as you have accumulated rm1k statements from one or more cc, you can apply for bt (aeon and mbb). OK, I think I got your logic now. if you swiped rm3k on aeon and bt to mbb, your 12 months instalments will be rm250. add up your other transactions (>rm750) on your mbb cc to make it rm1k and bt back to aeon. or you may add up other cc statement (>rm750). if you swiped rm3k on mbb and bt to aeon, your 6 months instalments will be rm500. add up your other transactions (>rm500) on your aeon cc to make it rm1k and bt back to mbb. or you may add up other cc statement (>rm500). For my 14th due date payment with MBB, I believe I won't have sufficient time to BT to Aeon now right? Assuming if I manage to BT RM 6.8k from MBB to Aeon, that means every month I'm supposed to pay RM 1133 to Aeon. Once it is billed to my Aeon in every month, I will request to BT 2000 (is this OK as it is >1133?) out to MBB. Then, I will need to pay RM 167/monthly to MBB? I'll continue this cycle (Aeon>MBB) until RM 6800 clears in Aeon card. By doing this way rather than BT the whole amount from Aeon back to MBB, I will not reduce so much of my MBB CL as my primary spending card is still AmEx. Is my understanding correct? Or is there any better way to manage this? This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 9 2014, 12:58 AM |

QUOTE(sendohz @ Dec 9 2014, 11:16 AM) Oh then we are in the same encounter. I don't mind paying to MBB but if can get back the amount, why not. I just submitted via fax, hopefully some good news soon from AEON. I don't know what amount to fill up so just filled up the total outstanding of my Visa+AmEx. My first BT and hope it goes well. |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 9 2014, 12:02 PM) you need to call and give reason like the double payment is due to certain delay in which prompting you to pay in cash first. just persuade the cs to refund the double payment. for more convincing (and obvious double payment), pay the same amount you applied for the bt. Got it. No harm for me to try, after all I will still need to pay the amount. If it is approved, I will call to transfer back the amount to my SA. |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 9 2014, 12:04 PM) they will only post the instalment amount every month for 12 months. if you pay extra, it will just show more credit than debit in your that month's statement. certain bank do charge for early settlement, if possible, maintain as it is. No issue, I will call Maybank to enquire about this. |

I just submitted my BT application from MBB to AEON before noon. How long should I wait before I can follow up with AEON?
I faxed my application to them. Thanks. |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 9 2014, 04:23 PM) Alright.QUOTE(sendohz @ Dec 9 2014, 04:24 PM) From my experience, fax will take much longer time. 2-3 days perhaps Gosh, really? I thought I read back and it seems fax is the faster way for AEON.Email is way faster. Add it with calls to CS to expedite the case I will email them now. QUOTE(MGM @ Dec 9 2014, 05:04 PM) Whoever that calls me first, I will clarify with them where did they get my application (either fax or email). I will inform them to proceed with one only.Let's see. That's fast, received call from AEON. Approved. This post has been edited by fruitie: Dec 9 2014, 05:29 PM |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Dec 9 2014, 08:54 PM) So You AEON BT to MBB then MBB BT to AEON then repeat the process again and again until promo ends. You no need to pay CC liao Actually I don't understand this part, mind to explain to a newbie like me? AEON told me that my monthly repayment is RM 1118 for 6 months. So, I just BT to MBB every month for RM 1118? Then BT to AEON again? And the cycle continues until both promo ends? I think MBB will end in March right? Only 3 months left to play... |

QUOTE(bearbear @ Dec 9 2014, 10:30 PM) Correct. Say I BT to maybank 12k, every month I need to pay 1k. When 1k is due I BT to aeon which split to rm166.66 per month. Of course as you do this there are overlapping of various payment. First month due 166.67 Second month due 166.67x2 Third month due 166.67x3 And so on Even more complicated or fun if you have 3 card eligible for BT. |

QUOTE(tifosi @ Dec 10 2014, 05:10 PM) I also use BT to buy time. The debts I have from BT is incredible. I almost maxed out both my Aeon and MBB as of now. Just that I dump the money into my housing loan and use my future salary to pay off those BT. Every month salary in, almost all goes into paying CC Then still have money to eat? BT is a deep black hole... I kinda regretted now to start BT-ing... This shall be my first and last BT. |

QUOTE(victorywp @ Dec 10 2014, 06:56 PM) yeah, nowadays aeon verification call is fast. I told them, not to double pay me. However, I only received one call so far. So should be safe I guess?you didn't ask them they received via fax or email? later you get double payment to mbb baru tau lol... I will tell them to only process one, will email them now. QUOTE(cyang @ Dec 10 2014, 10:28 PM) BT for discipline people = free cash atm Yeah, very dangerous. Though I'm pretty OK when comes to financial management but I don't want to spend so much of future money. BT for non-discipline people = black hole > more debt > bankruptcy... if u do not keep track on ur financial standings, better don't BT. Less than 5 BT still manageable, if have plenty of BT, u need to calculate properly how much u owe for each back, if not u will overspend ur future money and lead to financial crisis. hahaha~~ Scary, no more BT... |

QUOTE(cyang @ Dec 10 2014, 11:05 PM) If they overpay u, u just cash out the money and transfer back to Aeon, call them to inform them u want to do early settlement.. No penalty. Ah, yes. That sounds doable as well. In fact, for each BT, u earn Aeon Points which is pretty good But just afraid Maybank doesn't refund me. OK can do early settlement, sounds good. I may clear all after CNY. |

QUOTE(tifosi @ Dec 11 2014, 12:21 AM) Still can survive. If cannot then just swipe for meals to enter into infinite BT loop Hey for the iPhone 6, in order to enjoy the rebate of RM 300, Maybank imposed 6 months 0% interest la. Not that I cannot afford to pay whole full amount. Yeah. BT is advantageous to discipline people. Need alot of tracking. Like for me, my available CL is on top of my mind always so I don't get embarrassed when swiping And I make sure the money I suppose to pay goes into my loan account and not iPhone 6 I sold off that phone immediately after I got it and earned some quick bucks. Back to this BT, I admit I'm still new to this and really don't want to live in so much of debt every month... |
