Obviously never been caught before. IDP is needed - dont assume all police outside of Malaysia is like ours - no time to care.
Anyone can apply for you, but they need you license, photos.. RM150 any JPJ |

Not too sure about Japan but in Korea, you need IDP to rent the car. But countries like Aus and most EU countries don't need any IDP to rent/drive around.

most countries allow u to drive on your national drivers license but only for a certain period of time from entry. usually at least for 1 month. for US, i think its 3 months iinm.

QUOTE(ahkan666 @ Sep 19 2014, 10:09 AM) if you're in a commonwealth country, can use our license. 99% of the countries at least.went travelling around europe also no need international license. lived in australia for many years also no need international license. if police catch you, just show your malaysian license, and tell them which one is your birthdate la. i use IC also never got into any prob also. |

I hold a malaysia driving license, but I'm living in Hong Kong. Is there anyway I can still apply JPJ IDP , like via internet or someone apply it for me ? I asked the counter staff and they said you can nominate someone to apply on behalf just have to present them a letter. Ask your family and friend to help you la. Thats all, have a nice day.
