Yeap kena more than once because I have stupid and ignorant family members. The shop is called Lim Tayar and they sold my family members expired tyres like from more than 2 years ago date manufactured and didn't even reduce price. I mentioned before then nobody gave me any fucuk so when tayar rosak went to the same shop again. I always tell people to boycott Lim Tayar fucuking conmen. BTW they bought runflat tyres so imagine how I feel when I know they overprice them plus expired.

I go to seri kembangan. Continental shop along the main road. They do balancing old skool way, while tyre still on ur car. Didnt even ask to change chamber nut. N their shop tyre is cheaper compared to other shops in that area. I bought conticomfirt, other shops quote rm20-rm30 more then that shop

Ok maybe expired isn't the case here but they sold old stocks at a price higher than RRP. The brands were Michelin and Bridgestone in multiple cases and when I checked the website the price listed was a little lower. A price check with friends showed that market price is even much much lower than that. I was told that old stock tyres stored in warehouse or storage room for too long unmoved makes the tyre quality degrade compared to new. A simple check with a different shop listed on Michelin website when I call they sold tyres manufactured the same year and they too claim they are not allowed to keep old stocks. IIRC Lim Tayar wasn't even listed as official retailer on Michelin website.

Same, went to my regular workshop but they are off so went to next door shop and terus need to replace chamber screw RM 50 a piece buta2 kena potong. Btw, the shop is call TOP SPEED.

Even recently go to my regular workshop due to clutch issue they check check also told me your absorb bar no good, engine mount kong, some oil filter ring need change, etc, from verbal quote of RM 600 suddenly shoot up to 1k +. I told them thank you but no thanks because I have no money. Still they replace my gear oil without asking me and bill me terus.  doh.gif

Sometime I really hope to go take a course of car repair & DIY.

TOP SPEED memang penipu.

Last time i went to the glenmarie branch want to change engine oil and oil filter. they will come and tell you that this rosak and that rosak. I told them that I don't want to change and the person start to scare me that my car will breakdown and they not reliable for it. I got pissed off and I told them instead of changing so many things, might as well I transplant a new engine. the dude kept quiet and just change what i asked him to do. in the end the car still runs fine.

Yeah, my mechanic uncle told me this camber thing is a way for them to make money coz always need to adjust so dont install camber nut. Adjust 1 side = rm12-rm15 which they only putar putar nut...
*
coz car from factory..the nuts are not adjustable nuts..
so..when the shop say kena tukar chamber nut..means that their job will be easier

last week my window cant wind up due some ball bearing got out of rail, maklumlah, old car, hence normal tear n wear.
my objective is to put back the ball back into the rail only. the boss of lim tayar came and examine, plug out another rail with a plastic proytective bearing covering it. and he claims the plastic is wore off due to aged. for god sake i am standing THERE WATCHING, he assume i mislooked or something that he just plug out somehting from my car. Howverr it is true as per i c memang already gone case but i can still choose to fix back the original bearing that is out of rail and my window will b up again without needing to fork out 600++ just to replace an old regulator/switch/rail and bearing as per mentioned everything looks intact to me except for the 5 sen size plactic covering the smaller bearing which is totally out of the question.

what i did was i don bother as i only as them to put back the loss bearing back to the window rail and there goes 35 for opening and assmebling bacxk the ball into rail.

abt changing the whole regulator and window switch is really rediculous. and it happened in lim tayar latest branch in bangsar.

moral of the story, do stand beside the mechanic and understand from them instead of the boss that claims need to change the whole mechanism just for simple wire issue which is later cos a bomb.

you guys should go to the workshop behind Shell seksyen 7, great and friendly service
cant remember the name of the shop though
i sent my car there since few years ago, my bro & my dad also sent their car there, the price I think maybe just a little higher than other shop, but so far they never try to con people who go there
go find a guy with long hair, he is really friendly and can sembang2 with him while waiting for your car, if not can just lepak at their waiting room, air conditioned, got snacks and can bancuh 3in1 drink also
