QUOTE(arifhasim85 @ May 26 2015, 09:50 AM) dont worry your 290xs will be reliable for at least 2 generation gap (but on your reso, 4gb vram is a bit worrying).. nvm ill showcase to you my 390x later my r9 290 runs many games very well im happy with it but titles like PCARS really let me down AMD needs new drivers ASAP |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Jun 17 2015, 08:36 PM) It has always been like that. Only the top-tier cards would be something new. whatto do no new chips, rebadge old gpu add more VRAM walla u get a new product. But id certainly like to see the 390x pit againts the 970.Like HD 7790 to R7 260X, the only difference is R7 260X has TrueAudio and consumes a little more power. When you introduce a whole new line-up at once, there's bound to be old stuff being renamed. Nvidia's done that before as well, renamed / rebadged like silly before. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Jun 28 2015, 09:25 PM) I've not come by many people, other than empire23 and myself, that's capable of (or more like INTENTIONALLY) generating more than 200W per second power draw. bro how to check my pc's power draw is there a sware i can use?You look at most people's usage, they'll probably game. Gaming for 5 hours? pfftt, that barely loads the CPU and GPU to reach the full power draw of each, to the power draw fluctuates. To give you an idea, my Core i5-4670K without GPU idles at 40w power draw, on 100% processor load (video encoding) it draws 125w from the wall. Running cards like say the Fury X or Radeon R9 390X on Furmark stress test drains some 360w from the wall. If you add Full CPU load to it it'll probably reach 420w on the wall. Again that 420w is from extreme circumstances where all items are stressed. LOL if people think that putting 4 high-end graphic cards and 1200w PSU immediately raises your electricity bill to the roof. It doesn't. If you see your electricity bill raised - monitor your air cond usage perhaps? |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Aug 15 2015, 10:09 AM) boss a quick question to the otai guru, im building a a10 7850k system im not adding a discrete gpu i just want to utilize the APU only for light gaming. I saw that AMD APU scales differently on RAM speed preferably @ 2133MHZ. Seems many recommend to use ram with AMD's AMP profile to get most out of the APU performance. Here comes the question can i use XMP profiles on AMD APU? Or is it specifically depends on mother board. AMD AMP ram modules are not easily available or im just looking at wrong places to buy. Im a noob at setting up ram I checked Asus Website on asus a88x-plus mobo it says supports AMD AMP profiles and nothing mentioned about XPM profiles https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/A88XPLUS/specifications/ On Asrock website is another thing it seems it supports XMP and AMD AMP profiles http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/Fatal1ty%20FM...=Specifications Im afraid i will buy the wrong ram and screw up my APU performance |

Im having issues in overclocking my a10 7850k igpu even pushing the clock speed slider up to 900mhz using msi afterburner it still shows 720mhz on the monitoring data in game. But on furmark it shows 900mhz.

QUOTE(khelben @ Nov 30 2015, 07:09 AM) If we do a direct conversion, the 380x should be priced around 900++ to 1100, but we know that won't happen because that's the price of 380 in local stores currently RM1279 at dota tech, card is amazing 1440p is not an issue with this card, saved me some rm instead of buying agtx970 which also is a good 1440p performer. Wished AMD could run full 384bit bus for this baby. Overall im very2 happy with this cardSigh. |
