QUOTE(Someonesim @ Oct 25 2014, 10:08 AM) I get frustrated with my needs to charge N5 at least twice during weekdays, hence why I jump to N6 without hesitate. same here, I'm heavy usage user, at least charge twice a day. due to budget, will be late to join new nexus now with lollipop, battery saver did a good job, feel better This post has been edited by djlah: Oct 25 2014, 10:39 AM |

QUOTE(ketapang @ Oct 25 2014, 01:54 PM) Oo i thought nid wipe data lol. Yeah i unlock my bootloader already. Recovery i use cwm. Now wat i confuse is how do i revert back to stock kernel if im on custom kernel? someone did extract the stock kernel to flashable zip, you google it and flash, that's simple. But, why you want to revert back stock kernel?Hahaha i already bought this phone since early this year but only yesterday i root it. So sad, i should root earlier. |

just update flash latest Pure•White•LightNesS-5.0 rom, changelog is [LRX13C] [24/10/14]. previous version is LRX13D, why? LRX13D is preview version, LRX13C is coming from N6. |

wonder why lollipop battery stat, most of users also have Miscellaneous on the top. It's meant assorted or various. Why the OS don't break down? KK don't have that pun..... |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Oct 27 2014, 07:02 AM) and we're proud of owners here too, as today still have ppl buy N5 since N6 is phablet but not N5's direct replacement model. if for other brands, it's replace constantly every year, like S1, S2, S3, S4, S5........I'm so happy when we're getting KK during first launch last year and now, Lollipop |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 27 2014, 07:46 AM) Right. The most obvious advantage of Nexus devices - quickest firmware updates I'm sure you will be have a lot of fun on your next coming Nexus 6 I would be using the N5 too if not for its only 5 inch display. Bought from Techbug n resold it immediately after received as the 5 inches was just too small for me. Now I look forward to owing the N6 with 6 inch display. Hopefully can have it by n after mid Nov ! hopefully local dealer/reseller bring it next year, and if celcom bring it too will be great. |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Oct 27 2014, 01:38 PM) LTE on Nexus 5 isn't that stable.. getting the signal on and off but being dropped to 3G most of the time. Whereas for the same simcard, it's rock solid on iPad mini retina.... anyone notice the same behavior? QUOTE(nasrulafiq93 @ Oct 27 2014, 01:44 PM) QUOTE(Someonesim @ Oct 27 2014, 01:52 PM) Stable on mine, Maxis as well. yup, same here. no issue with my celcom.TBH I dont use LTE anymore ( unless 3G signal not stable or weak, will open LTE see how ), HSPA+ is quite fast enough for my browsing need, and less battery hungry than LTE by default is set to LTE/GSM (Auto). we can forced to LTE only in our network type if you need to. |

QUOTE(samurai1337 @ Oct 27 2014, 02:14 PM) Yeah if I force it, it does indeed become LTE... agreed, auto switching is killing and wasting battery..... if confirm the LTE coverage are not good enough, then full use 3G and disable LTE. normally, I manually set to 2G only when on WiFi. if lazy, xposed Smart 3G module or some rom cook with SmartRadio did a good job too Otherwise it has the tendency to drop to 3G. I just let it auto choose then (not sure if it will kill battery) This post has been edited by djlah: Oct 27 2014, 02:33 PM |
