32gb usd 649 is consider expensive for nexus line... looks like getting a first hand update also need to pay for the price.... sad

by the way, those that think nexus 5 will drop price after the release the nexus 6...i don think so, i foresee the price for nexus 5 will getting higher due to demand, at least it will not drop that fast also as google will maintain nexus 5 and nexus 6 together.

so faster get a nexus5 while still dirt cheap now.
i think i jsut hv to wait nexus 6(2015) going to annouce then only can afford to get the nexus 6 (2014) or wait till it drop below 1.3k...

same thought, don't think N5 will drop further....

Meh, battery still too small for the screen size and that massive resolution will kill the battery. I dont know why people say 'future proof' when it using latest SoC. This isn't a PC, its a phone.
*
Yeah exactly. That battery with 5.9inch. Cmonnnnn...

Note 4 have more with smaller size. But this one is heavier and thicker some more. Haih Moto.

I agree. Bigger battery with bigger screen, i don't think will have much difference in battery life. The same battery on 5.2" maybe can say that. Overall it's still a Nexus so will buy one but wait for abit longer since the price is not in expected range. My N5 will still get all those updates

I'm worry about display size and resolution too, but compare to N5's 5" IPS 1080P but 2300mAh, this is large improvement.

Future proof, means still capable in future ( 2-3 years maybe ), powerful processor capable of running future OS available in 2-3 years. QHD, LTE, large storage all given the phone capability to sustain foreseeable future needs.

Yes we cant predict future, but hey my PC rig with 2600K ( I'm not even need to OC yet ) hyperX ram and 660TI OC still capable of running 2014 games in full resolution and high setting ( if not highest ) smoothly.

Normally Google will drop price just before new Nexus come out. This time didnt, big chances they will maintain N5 in stock for people who need proper size phone.

Thickness was due to contour back cover shape, not an issue as it should feel really good in hand ( moto X had the same ), I had no issue with it. However the weight is sweat.gif quite heavier than other phablet ( weight the same as Ascend Mate 7 )

Considering Project Volta is part of Android L, the battery should be able to last even with its huge a$$ screen size.

They seems to stop 18 months policy already what, Nexus 10 ( 2 years old now ) and Nexus 7 2012 got Lollipop taste now.

Like moto X, it was thick at middle while extra slim at side, so it wasnt much thicker thus not much extra space on it. However again, why cant Motorola use the same technique/technology from their Droid Turbo ( 5.2" body but 3900mAh ) vmad.gif

that is why i say, 5.2" with big battery will sure be very good. but we dunno if it's moto or google decision on this. the overall design is ok but still i think the n5 nicer cos it's simple and the nexus word should be in the middle instead just like the current n5 and n7.

just wait and see how meanwhile waiting for L release for my phone

Reason I will buy N6 regardless that extreme size, is battery life. My n5 can survive one full day going out during weekend, however doesnt survive weekday as I spend 4+ hours surfing net and listen to music ( lunch break, commuting ), will need charge sometime middle of the day doh.gif

Initially want to get OPO for that Nexus-beating price, but as big fans of Nexus, I waited and now this shakehead.gif Have until end of month to decide whether need to order or not.

Local price, since all AP set here, price are controlled by shop like DirectD/SatuGadget etc.

It's not new that price will increase. For example, GNex was sold at really high price when launch ( over 2K++ ), then Google cut the price few months later, local shop price follow up ( which I straight away purchase it that time ), and while people swamp to get it, the price raised a bit ( RM100-200 ) after few days due to high demand.

Seriously, no mood liao today with those prices + specs of N6 and N9 until sick now.
First time I wasn't that much into hype about new Nexus devices.
This feels more like Android Silver than Nexus line tbh. sad.gif
