hmm.. i'm very curiouss..
how does this hair extension process goes?
what kind of method they use the extend the hair besides glue?
will ur hair still grow normally after the extension o.0

but personally, i think hair extension is not worth it..
it is too expensive and i think it would be just better to wait for ur hair to grow.. naturally
to make it grow faster, u can just trim ur hair more times..
(i heard it helps ur hair grow faster..)

I saw many girls with hair extensions damn nice~!
Especially after they curl it very pretty le..
But I also heard that the maintenance very hard
The hair will always tangle and need lots of conditioner..
My hair now is fine and long..i think probably will need alot of $$ to do hair extensions..

wana have a hair extension?
PM me...

Added on October 30, 2007, 5:50 amHair extension price is depends on the length of the extension hair & quantity..
Normally ppl would do 100 pieces but it would look fake if u hav a short hair!
im myself hav a medium shoulder length hair, total of 400 pcs i extended. n i tell u,no one found out tat my hair is fake! i use the lil clip type.so mine need half days to modified the pcs n extension.

i did my hair extention in Kcg salon 3 weeks ago for only >RM450. Process took about 2 hours plus. For 3 nite on the row, cant sleep well cos the xtention hair clips that atach to my ori hair kinda bothering my head. Honestly painful a bit. Now I get use to it. 2 strands already drop out cos my sleep pattern so aggressif. LOL. Overall, no hair tangle or dry even after regularly shampooing, blow dry, curly etc. Love it but after 3-4 mnths need to take off.

i did my extensions in jakarta and the cost for the whole head was less than MYR500.
i did 160 strands and it was about MYR150 only.
now my hair touches my thighs when i sit.
i used the ring clip instead of glue as i didnt like the glue method.

its actually easy to care for hair extensions.
just use extra moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and deep condition once a week.
i use dove silky straight shampoo deep condition with pantene straight and silky.

my extensions dry pretty fast and dont really tangle. but tangles are bound to occur in long hair so comb gently with wide-toothed comb.

i am still trying to look for a salon here in KL to maintain my extensions. i found one at Centerpoint BU, but the guy was so rude (he plucked my hair!) and it was sooooo expensive.

any suggestions?

am so happy to read bout this as when i went to ask Kimmarie this afternoon, they mentioned RM15 per strand and it needs 120 strands! approx 1.8k! if really there's salon which are doing it cheap and good service, please share information - much appreciated.

Please share more thoughts and information to benefit the rest.. smile.gif thanks banyak banyak

I am new to this, but I was thinking about getting hair extensions.
Where is a good place to get permanent hair extensions? and what type of hair extensions work best?
I don't want the ones you redo daily though. I want ones that last for a couple months and are permanent. thumbup.gif

Any help would be hugely appreciated wub.gif

If you want it permanent for a few months, there's one type that extend using both clips and glue. If it use either clips or glue only, it can only stay for a month or so.

But using both can make sure it stays for more than two months. But having glue in your hair, you couldn't style your hair using hot iron curl or straightening because it will melt the glue and your hair will get tangled.

So you have to really take good care of them after you get the hair extension to avoid tangles and everything.

Some people say that the glue-in extensions are really bad for your hair and others say the sew-ins are horrible. Is this just a personal preference?
there is the weave method where a fine braid is plaited in your hair and then the hair extension is weaved into the braid... can i get this in KL?

Erm... I'm not very sure if glue-in are bad, i'm having glue-in with clips on my hair now but I have yet to take it out so I didn't see any damage to my hair yet. And about the sew-in, people say they are very painful indeed. Sounds scary to me. unsure.gif

While the weaving method, I've yet to see them in the market in Msia. Not sure if they are available.

Anyway, if you really are getting hair extensions, do remember to have someone really professional to do it for you. I regret letting some auntie did for me and now my extensions sucks. I had coloured extensions, some hide in my real hair while some the knots are showing. sad.gif

There's a few salon offering extensions in Ipoh. Hairport in either Jusco or Parade is offering RM25 per strand. I'm not sure what other service is included.

I did at Ming's Salon opposite JPP School in Pasir Puteh for RM10 per strand. But their skill is not good, but cheapest I can get in Ipoh.

While I heard there's one salon in the area near Excelsiors(don't know how to spell) offering extensions, too. I heard it's about RM10 per strand, too.
