If you want it permanent for a few months, there's one type that extend using both clips and glue. If it use either clips or glue only, it can only stay for a month or so.

But using both can make sure it stays for more than two months. But having glue in your hair, you couldn't style your hair using hot iron curl or straightening because it will melt the glue and your hair will get tangled.

So you have to really take good care of them after you get the hair extension to avoid tangles and everything.

Some people say that the glue-in extensions are really bad for your hair and others say the sew-ins are horrible. Is this just a personal preference?
there is the weave method where a fine braid is plaited in your hair and then the hair extension is weaved into the braid... can i get this in KL?

Erm... I'm not very sure if glue-in are bad, i'm having glue-in with clips on my hair now but I have yet to take it out so I didn't see any damage to my hair yet. And about the sew-in, people say they are very painful indeed. Sounds scary to me. unsure.gif

While the weaving method, I've yet to see them in the market in Msia. Not sure if they are available.

Anyway, if you really are getting hair extensions, do remember to have someone really professional to do it for you. I regret letting some auntie did for me and now my extensions sucks. I had coloured extensions, some hide in my real hair while some the knots are showing. sad.gif

anyone know where can i get extensions in ipoh?

There's a few salon offering extensions in Ipoh. Hairport in either Jusco or Parade is offering RM25 per strand. I'm not sure what other service is included.

I did at Ming's Salon opposite JPP School in Pasir Puteh for RM10 per strand. But their skill is not good, but cheapest I can get in Ipoh.

While I heard there's one salon in the area near Excelsiors(don't know how to spell) offering extensions, too. I heard it's about RM10 per strand, too.
