Nice 😊 Similar to India's Tata Sky who dishes out free channels and selected VOD movie and Olympics for their anniversary celebrations. Enjoy!

The Premiere League rights are mostly sold to local distributors in respective countries ..... LeTV in HK, astro in MAL, Singtel in SG etc.

In SG, Singtel sub license the rights of certain matches to Eleven Sports (who packaged the matches themselves; both mio Stadium 1 (Ch 102) and Eleven Plus (Ch 103) showing HC v LC matches ...... half time, the analysis are fr Premiere League TV (Ch 102) and Eleven Sports Network (Ch 103), screen shots below for reference, for those who are keen.

Is astro using Abbas as presenter or new ones?

Not sure how the agreement is between RTM and Starhub but Starhub pointed out the signals are received via a normal antenna and Re-distributed thru the cable TV system.

There are no EPG info for the channel, just listed as 'No Program Info' (if memory serves me right).

They mentioned TV2, TV3 etc.are not offered as the foreign programs copyright on those chs do not have SG rights.

In fact some of the Media Prima programs are bought by Starhub to "feed" their in-house Sensasi Ch.

Similarly, all the foreign programs on those FTA MediaCorp chs only have SG rights, not possible to offer them outside SG.

Oh yes, Animax HD launched quietly on Singtel TV yesterday.

Eng Subtitles, audio 1 is Japanese, audio 2 is English (for selected programs). Can I ask if astro is also offering Jap/Eng or Jap/BM ?

Here, once channels are removed, they are gone forever, no matter how unhappy the subscribers are.

StarHub confirms Fox channels will continue on pay-TV

*
Actually after this last minute signing, Starhub carried on and announced that Channel [V] International and FOX Sports News will be dropped in the next few weeks. Earlier dropped chs like [V] China, Nat Geo Music, Baby TV etc. were never reinstated, apparently SH did renew with FOX Networks Group but took a cheaper bouquet of chs.

Singtel so far announced that Phoenix Chinese ch and Phoenix InfoNews ch will be dropped next month Oct 1st week along with Servants Sports HD and Fight Sports HD. Only 1 replacement ch announced, I.e. Outdoor Channel HD replaces Fight Sports.

Seems like everyone is cutting cost nowadays.

When I test out Astro's OD feature and simply select any series to watch, look what I found:

It's Fox Movies Play content on Astro's OD feature...
Oddly, this beginning season of The Walking Dead series is under Fox HD category instead of Fox Movies Premium on OD.

Is anyone here subscribed to Movies Pack and saw Fox Movies Play logo when watching/download any of latest movies from Fox Movies Premium's OD Free category?
*
The same series over here on Singtel is FOX Play branded one..... Maybe astro or FOX lazy to do another set of video files and used the FMP ones.....

Bare minimum channel, no trailers of their own programs, just back to back programs.

You may request for a replacement but you will be slapped with instalation fee or perhaps upgrade for a new box with new dish which will tie you with a new contract!
*
I see, thx for the reply. For Starhub and SingTel, installation for service call to check and replace faulty equipment is waived. However, if the fault is traced back to loose cable connections on subscriber part, then there will be charges for the service call. Thx.

It will be interesting to note not a single In House Rojak channel failed, they managed to sell all to spore. Zeetv is out but Tara is in definately they buy content and later sell it to miotv just like other Indian/chinese/malayΒ  channels which are already in spore's platforms
*
Astro can't sell their Chinese chs to Starhub or SingTel as the programs on those AEC chs are already being bought by the 2 providers separately. However, astro managed to sell their in-house produced programs fr Hua Hee, XTY etc. to ST and SH though.... This is one of them, Hua Hee Seko-lah
