Yes, I believe u are right, it's a SG feed. HD indicator is not there cos for SD box users, Starhub will just auto down convert to SD full-screen. They do not want to purchase a SD decoder fr Sony to save the hassle.

Yup, Starhub desperate to launch as much HD chs as possible to compete wif Singtel (who only has ANIPLUS now as Starhub still has exclusive rights to Animax).

So hope Hypp do something more to be seen as threat to astro.

Yup, not really watching the channel, quite lousy

Just FYI, like astro, Starhub decided to drop BBC Entertainment sometime next wk. BBC First HD, a on demand service will replace it instead (already launched earlier this month). Some pics for reference.

Leetan33 - looks like TVB Jade HD is a dedicated Malaysian feed, the channel has program titles seen on the top right, simplified Chinese subtitles too ..... some programs are similar in schedule as the crappy TVBJ Ch on Starhub

Both TVJ Starhub and TVB Jade Astro are all played out and program fr TVB HK home-base.

Just curious what does astro puts up after a channel has been dropped or ceased.

Starhub can lie and claim a channel has ceased but in fact, it is still on-air. They refused to let ppl know that it is them who have dropped the Ch.

Oh, MTV Asia is still letter-boxed on astro? StarHub used to offer the channel here in same letter box format as astro .... but now they changed it to SD 16:9 wide-screen format .... Channel [V] is still SD on Starhub, and they are dropping both [V] & Nat Geo Music (SD) end Jun to cut cost.

Only Singtel is still offering both all 3 chs in HD.

Yes, the MCorp chs cannot be made available anywhere as the acquired foreign programs (dramas, movies, music programs etc.) on the chs only has SG rights.

That's why only TV1 is available on Starhub, TV2 is not allowed due to the English acquired programs.

Mio has their supporters as they offer more HD versions of channels that StarHub does not want to offer, e.g. [V]HD, Kid HD, Cartoon Network HD, Baby TV HD, Toonami HD etc.
