Since Feb 2017 is the expiry of Astro's exclusive license, if other company wants to offer satellite TV service, do they still need to rely on MEASAT as their backbone or can they rent transponders from Palapa (Indosat), Asiasat etc? Will C-Band be allowed to or only Ku-Band allowed like ASTRO?

Just something we can ponder. If new competitor needs to rely on Measat feed, it won't hurt Astro as the new company will be paying for transponder lease from Measat. If new competitor can rent transponders from Palapa or other satellite company, then they may be affected.

With removal of ZEE, introduction of TARA HD and upgrade of LIFETIME to LIFETIME HD, I think Astro is indirectly forcing people to upgrade their legacy decoders to BYOND set top box.

TVN Movies coming to Singapore January 2017. If ASTRO brings this channel, I think it will be ala carte just like BOO Channel. If it is to be added to KOREAN PACK, be prepared for price hike on the package.
