It's a very enjoyable action flick. Really like how they establish an underworld society where you hire cleaners to take care of corpses and a santuary hotel for nefarious individual. They deals in mysterious gold coin currency. While Keanu provides the badassery of "gun-fu-ing" headshots left and right, there are enough impressive "actors" to drive the story forward.Especially Michael Nyqvist providing a pretty effective mob boss. Wish they can make another movie within this John Wick world. The action sequences are refreshing and efficient where you able to follow clearly who doing what.

keanu reeves as john wick is plain clumsy, slow, delayed, old

Dah tgk. Mmg shoot 'em up straight from start to finish. Dumb mafia son pergi curik keta John Wick and kill his dog. After that dont close ur eyes, dont even blink. Non stop shooting. Keanu's pace and action style, selamba headshot, xckp banyak.

If there's one thing i've learned from watching Keanu's movies..
1. he's so obsessed with kungfu (watch his Man of Tai Chi movie)
2. he loves gun fights
3. he is the one @ Neo

i see it as a proficient gun user who is accurate at getting head shot. not gun-fu. try and watch equilibrium the movie gun-fu like dancing... pretty elegant..

Thought equilibrium\ultraviolet uses gun-kata as coined by the director.Gun-fu just over generalization of gunplay and martial arts combine together.It was never specifically defined to any specific style.The term originate from John Woo movies as a homage to HK action films.Again it's my opinion la and also how the movie being marketed!Not a fan of technicalities.

hehe.. but to be honest, i much prefer the gun-kata in equilibrium than ultraviolet.. can feel the lethalness of gun kata while ultraviolet was like way too flowery movements... anyhow i still enjoy John Wick nonetheless...

There is something very old school about this movie.

And I don't mean 1980s old school, further back then that. Back to when Warner Brothers were churning out a lot of Gangster movies...

I don't know why, the feeling of this movie is a throw back to that period... Gangster/Film Noir-ishness.

And IT IS GREAT!!!!

AS of yesterday, I have watched 3 moths in the past three weeks and all three movies are GREAT!!!

Okay, back to this movie, how throw back is this movie, if this movie was a silent movie, the context of the movie would still have been CLEAR!!!

Don't get me wrong, when I say old school does it mean this movie is not violent, Far from it!!

There aren't any good guys here!

There are just people with/without code of conduct!!!

Go watch this.

this movie screams PREQUEL all over it

- the 'impossible task' handed to Wick by Viggo
- Wick history with Leguizamo,Dafoe,McShane character
- his backstory of how he meets Helen(Bridget Moynahan)
- and last but not least, just can't get enough of Ms Perkins

and how he killed 3 men in a bar with a pencil

keanu's acting bole ke? he's always so kayu even in Man of Tai Chi. Neo is the only role perfect for his kayu-ness

Another movie with dumb bad guys.

Instead of shooting John afar with their gun they choose to walk 1 feet in front of him before pulling the trigger.

yeah everyone in the cinema laugh at this scene

just like typical jason statham action movie, but definitely worth rm8 i spent on the ticket

To anybody wanting to watch this movie, know this: do not f&*k with John Wick.

Everyone in the movie, besides the villain's son, knows how much of a badass John is and always has to either prepare against him, or lari takut .

Very good to see Keanu has graduated from wooden man into old wooden man, ala Liam Neeson

The intention is to show he is rusty coming out from retirement and not silky smooth.
So I suppose every Russian mob movies is a propaganda for US now.
Ukraine/Russian conflict has more to do with the EU rather than US.EU the one who sets sanctions on Russia.

Amazing movie it was

enjoyed the movie

You missed it; I saw it in GSC cinemas (albeit it only premiered in only a few location),
but it was worth it.

Watching it again, the part where Viggo gets the sudden realisation that his son essentially pissed John Wick is worth the money for this movie

I saw it on MBO Kulim twice.

In Penang, John Wick is shown only at Gurney Penang and TGV.

though some would say Keanu Reeves has no emotions at all, but the hell man these type of movies suits him 100%. It's like he was made for this.

I think John Wick was only in theatres for like, only three weeks only, last I remember.

It's a pity this was not shown along with stuff like Interstellar at the time.

Yeah I was surprised it wasn't shown for long and missed it. But now I've finally watched it and pretty much enjoyed it. Didn't exactly like the ending though. He was easily able to heal himself, stole a dog and took it for a walk?

Its cool that there might be a sequel but that article does not mention that its unconfirmed whether Reeves will be back or not. It will kinda suck if they replace him.

To be fair most of them died before even firing a shot or before they can even aim. I think a good premise for a second movie is a prequel. Hope they didn't portray it like Equalizer, too slow and not enough headshot action.

It's so good! They focus more on the close combat and minimum car chase. It goes to show you don't need big explosions to make a good action movie. And we finally see Wick killing people with a fucking pencil! XD

No shaky cam = instant win

Very good movie. Love the fighting

I thought the opening scene was amazing. It helped that the volume was extra loud and you can feel every crash, gun shot and punches.
I thought it got a bit too repetitive with the shooting and all towards the end but its probably because I was tired and needed to pee so I couldn't focus.
It was obvious certain parts where the woman took off her clothes were cut and we missed a few dialogues.

Loved it. Better than the first film!

Will be watching this movie tonight due to the immensely good reviews but I haven't watched the first one before..

It good to see john (wick) I mean Keanu dishing something that caters for this genre. 👌🏻

You know they are, many years has passed since matrix when both looking & carrying a little excesses 😣😂. I wanted to shout "Morpheus" when Lawrence came on 😂😂

Plot & story is wafer thin but it serves to wet the appetite. The ending serves up something that will probably confirm that they have room to maneuver chapter 3 into work. (Guess they only need a confirmation by fans to have a BO hit numbers, which by the looks of it likely & easily match the first one)

Some comments got me laughing

Well, the first & this episode storyline also quitr straight forward I like that. It's full of interesting action pack, not just some dullness action. Fully enjoyed this movie.

Beside head-shotting anything that moves in the first movie, the most intriguing part for me is the underground world of assassins. The sequel expand that world to basically give an excuse to unleash wanton of body counts. Give me John Wick anytime over any spandex clad cgi duking it out on the screen. Do wonder how many more sequels they are willing to put out given the fact set-up for the third already established in the cliffhanger. Another 3 more within the next 10 years otherwise old man Keanu will be rocking in wheelchair to gun fu his way out.
Lionsgate on a roll right now with 4 oscar nominated movies and now this. Guess they manage to move away from making schlocky horror movies for years. They are on the verge of closing shop few years back.

Hope this movie makes a lot of money, can't wait they decided a Chapter 3

I just want this movie to end without anymore sequels. It is a perfect ending as he will be on the run forever to get a 'normal' life but knowing Hollywood, they will prolly make Wick go after the High Table.

That gave me the chills.
