Dear ASUS, some time ago I posted here that my newly purchased router (RT-N12HP) has gotten a very serious WiFi dropping issue. Like withhin 1 minute the WiFi just drops. Was advised to send it back to retailer to RMA it.

I have gotten that router sent back and received a new router set.

To date, the router started acting up again. Does your product really have a proper QC (quality control)?

I started my PC which is connected to the router this morning and there was no network. I thought the cable was loose but no it wasn't. I had to unplug and plug it back in (the LAN cable connected to router side) just to get the internet working.

Your product is really bad and I want to return this router with full refund. Are you gonna tell me to wait another 3-4 weeks without a router? Are you going to pay for my internet fee?

I thought their router are blardy expensive. but crappy like this. so much fail

Mine never got prob

My RT-N66U even better. After firmware update, unit went into emergency mode. Had to unplug and plug directly to PC to use recovery mode. Twice already kena like this. Really no QC.

Summary:

Now I think I will have to wait another 4 weeks to get a new set, no internet, and have to pay Unifi fee just because their product has bad QC.

Can anyone advise what other routers I can go for without issues like this?

Want a good router that never need reset , I can recommend you Apple's Airport Extreme , very easy to set up and never need to reset, durable as hell and look nice too, rm649. But downside is sometimes slow & range not that good . Resale value very nice also, now I also use Asus, but sometimes need to reset or off/on apart from that no big deal.

Ur luck i guess. I got the same model. Used it for 24/7 4 months liao. No problem

I use also 4 months +- now since my RMA (first RMA was straight out of box terus need to send already.) then problem arose again.

Have you updated the firmware sir?
Have you tune the wifi settings sir?
Have you checked your neighbours wifi channel sir?Cuz it might interfere with your wifi.

why the first time u reach home its faulty and didnt go for 1 to 1 warranty ?

I asked ASUSmy, they say send back to shop for warranty claim. Stupid right? It's faulty ootb and they want me to send in for warranty as if it has been in used for 1-2 months.

they already have bad reputation for their laptop warranty service ...but i ve deal with the hardware(motherboard,gpu) department its not that bad
