Anyone know about this tyres? it will like the ATR Sport so noisy? I still considering between ATR Sport 2 and Michelin PS3... I search online, not much info and review online. and no one talk about this tyres in lowyat forum yet(at least I search Google no pop-up).

Reason to buy ATR Sport 2
- Cheap
- Friend intro. said it good.

Reason to buy Michelin PS3
- because it is Michelin but expensive.
- review ok.

Need some to review on this ATR sport 2 tyres.. Any size also ok..

Been using ATR Sport 2 for a year. All i can say its cheap for the dry performance it delivers, but dont try to test it on wet.

But for the price, its reasonable enough.

Currently I satisfied the performance of this tyres. dry grip even better that my previous tyres(C-drive2) and Cheapest... Wet grip C-Drive maybe will a little bit more good because of the big longkang, But C-Drive2 after 50% grip will very noisy.. this ATR-Sport2 I not sure yet... because I just change, still need time to monitoring..

Cannot compare. One is cheap tire, another is one of the best if not the best all around UHP tire in the market today. I'd still pick PS3 anytime anyday. If want relatively cheap tire I'd rather go with GT Radial.

what size u need actually? atr sports 2 only come in 195/55-15 and jumps to 17" size....no in between size (16" not available)

atr sport 1 so noisy...meanwhile sport 2 is quiet, more towards comfort....

if compare michelin ps3...michelin is quieter..but not that obvious....and for the price saving as much as 1 ps3 u can get 2 atr sport 2....and achilles tyre quite durable long term too...ps3 got weak sidewall and prone to bulge/bengkak/crack on longer usage

Using a ATR sport 225/45/17 @RM280 a piece.
Floats like a boat on wet... Dry is okay.
Same price for Nexxen and for that price it's probably one of the cheapest. GT radial would cost double. Branded ones would be 3-4 times more

oh..the kedai papan.
their service level still the same?
read their service level nowadays getting worse and tried to sell old tyres unknowingly..

another seller quoted Rm165 for ATR2, if Rm135 is rm120 savings to me.

if not mistaken...traction rating is for brake distance. when brake, AA will stop earlier than A.

dry and wet drive is depends on the tyre thread (of cos rubber compound also la). directional is better in wet compare to asymmetric.

*pls correct me if i'm wrong. sweat.gif

this is based on my true story.... sweat.gif
b4 this, i use conti MC5, traction is A....
3 occasions i need to sudden brake (dry) when close tailgating vehicles at >140kmh.... all due to their tyre burst...
MC5 did a good job... thumbup.gif

me using same spec... 3k and counting.
grip atr sp2 > mc5
noise atr spt > mc5 (not by much)

but....installing 18" donut...noise issue is really subjective. sweat.gif

Been searched for this tyews review before changed. Previously using nt8000 overall okay quiet and good indry/wet. changed to atr sport 2 not more than a week, overall its fine with me in way such as less noise, on the highway 200kmh should be a problem, but the con's are when raining 110-140kmh car is like swimming along the way. Somehow personally think performance tyres are not man for rain, even how expensive Tyres when rain also preferable not to speed as you know our route is so unpredictable.

I also used nt8000 before this ATR sport 2 .. nt8000 is good but tyre wear is crazy .. how long does it last for you ? mine around 20k km only ..

for me raining benchmark is at 100kmph .. 110-140 in rain is dangerous already haha ..

Yea nt8000 was a good tyres, its last me almost 50-60k, almost year and 1/2 plus. Do travel a lot and genting often. So far I've tried atr sport 2, Dry corner is more stable compared to nt8000

i finished a set of atr and tried atr 2 on my friend's car, his atr 2 almost gone now. at first it was pretty good for the money, but wet grip not that good. considering the price, quite value for money.

my set last me around 25k km.

btw 10mins to top of the genting from where?

I have 2 pieces of used, clocked 2500kms ATR sports in 265/35/18. Anyone interested just drop me a message.

Lifespan of 3 years? Interesting! Never any set of tyres lasted me more than 6 months.

Install all 4 new atr sport 2 today, compare to falken ziex 912..this tyre very much quiet. But i notice, the sand stick on the tyre like it glue itself there.

Change from 205/45/16 to 195/55/15. No longer sensitive to uneven or rough road surface biggrin.gif

There's no FC involved in my driving style but the figure is around 1 lit / 10km and maybe less. 25 liter 250km = rm50 bye bye already. It's a stock myvi ezi first model.

hi guys!

how to differentiate between ATR Sport and ATR Sport 2?

i was offered RM260.00 (including balancing & installation) for 215/45R17. Tire was manufactured in 5014. Tried to figure out by looking at the sticker but there was no label neither ATR Sport nor ATR Sport 2.

thanks!

last saturday went for hunt for 215/45/17...jalan gombak area...i do cross check with my BIL and ask him about RE003 newly launch tyre...he check his previous company (Bridgestone Malaysia) ans the price is around RM300+..and he call all his fren..no one got the meant size...soo after almost whole day hunting..i find Aso Tyre at jalan gombak offer RE003 RM290 OTR for 215/45/17. 2015 Tyre and only available for 2 set (8pcs). Others shop no stock and the price is RM390 -+ sweat.gif .

Budget tyre like Atr SP & SP2 got plenty stock. MC5 2015 doh.gif price is RM380 for Conti tyre dealer and normal others shop RM340 (its a 2014 tyre sweat.gif ). after spend a day. ive decide to topup my budget and try to look for a tyre that have good thread-wear and traction as ayam a spirited drive on wet & dry..so better be safe.

ive decide to go for RE003 but after nego laugh.gif i went to atm for some withdrawal..came back to aso tyre shop..the tyre oledi bought by others fella doh.gif vmad.gif .. quite disappointment. sweat.gif soo i decide to buy S.Drive made in japan RM330 OTR..the aso son gimme rm10 less as he promised me to kept the RE003 before.

sweat.gif soo lastly from budget tyre to a quite decent one..i like becoz its offer longevity as the threadwear is 300 and the traction is AA with Temp A.

had to change tyres today, mergency case - as my old ones gone kaput.

asked for the cheapest model at the shop for 215 45 17, and got ATRS2 for rm260 per piece. Got 2 pieces and used them as my fronts. So far so good.

After reading the thread here, i guess rm260 per piece is quite an ok price, right?

btw tyre shop is at Seri Petaling. Forgot the name.

Already change 2 tyres to RE003 due to my ATR sport2 pregnant at side wall(according to tyreman). After I drive RE003 1k KM, RE003 is better grip in the Dry and wet... ATR sport 2 not bad, but RE003 will better.

Surely RE003 would be much better, it's much more expensive and aimed at beating the popular high performance tires like PS3, F1, CSC5, etc2. ATR Sports 2 is more like entry level UHP tire. I noticed also ATR Sport compound seems to be more prone to get shaven off instead of gradual wear. If relatively cheap high performance tires, I'd prefer GT Radial HPY coz more well proven and reliable than ATR Sport 2. Or maybe Falken FK453 made in Japan.
