Using a ATR sport 225/45/17 @RM280 a piece.
Floats like a boat on wet... Dry is okay.
Same price for Nexxen and for that price it's probably one of the cheapest. GT radial would cost double. Branded ones would be 3-4 times more

110kmh? hmm.gif

I use till now ok saja... but when heavy rain and wet road really abit scary... in 120 - 140 range... because tyres  cant heat up gua... I notice this tyres tempeture highest  compare with others tyres after drive... so maybe because of this gua...

TRANCTION AA no good on wet road??
*
if not mistaken...traction rating is for brake distance. when brake, AA will stop earlier than A.

dry and wet drive is depends on the tyre thread (of cos rubber compound also la). directional is better in wet compare to asymmetric.

*pls correct me if i'm wrong. sweat.gif

ok understood
im using CPC2 now, grip so far ok on both dry and wet. just very noisy
planing to change nano3
just worry about the traction rating because only traction A
*
this is based on my true story.... sweat.gif
b4 this, i use conti MC5, traction is A....
3 occasions i need to sudden brake (dry) when close tailgating vehicles at >140kmh.... all due to their tyre burst...
MC5 did a good job... thumbup.gif

Hi fellas..

my currenty donuts are balding.
These affordable tyres suit my budget.

Plan to get the 225/40R18 atr s2

anyone can give some feedbacks on the above tyre size? grip and road noise mainly..
*
what car bro?
me using same spec... 3k and counting.
grip atr sp2 > mc5
noise atr spt > mc5 (not by much)

but....installing 18" donut...noise issue is really subjective. sweat.gif

hi guys!

how to differentiate between ATR Sport and ATR Sport 2?

i was offered RM260.00 (including balancing & installation) for 215/45R17. Tire was manufactured in 5014. Tried to figure out by looking at the sticker but there was no label neither ATR Sport nor ATR Sport 2.

thanks!

ATR Sport 2 is around RM245 per donut. can consider RM245 all exclude alignment.....

ive use Atr Sport before..but only after 5k km..then change to GYE F1 asym. which is  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  for RM480 per donut. back in 2012.How about the performance of the art sport 2 for 215 45 17?
im a spirited driver soo yeah..need some review. back then ATR Sport 2 not exist yet sweat.gif  sweat.gif
*
doing 160-170 here and there since Jan 2015....so far so good for me. laugh.gif

if i wanna compare to gyf1......... with half the price........... tak boule ini machiem. laugh.gif

*gyf1 is more senyap. but for 215/45/17.... if want senyap..better downgrade to 16". tongue.gif
*atrsp2 become keras before 40k. (what kedai told me la), so better change at this numbers.

40k keras? sweat.gif  sweat.gif  GYF1 last me to 70k km and still kicking..just tht now 2-3 times tampal ady ...the thread about 75%...still quiet...but just renew my beast insurans soo budget not there...ATR Sport 2 is ok for spirited drive?
*
How u defined spirited? Hahaha..

Last time i use conti mc5...last me 55k with 3 tampal at 1 tyre. Thread still got over 75% but 50k is long enough dy. Better change la... no need wait botak.

So this atrsp2 (maybe others also)...if can last over 40k..with same noise and performance...and with the price tag..good enough bro.
its half the price of gyf1. U pay same amount but change each 45k..ok what... biggrin.gif
