Yeah. Forgot to mention the seats are horrible especially if you are short because the seat in front is too high up!TGV vs GSC, comparison & feedback

Haven't been to movies much these days, but I usually prefere GSC over TGV.
1. Prefer the popcorn at GSC: they were the first with caramel popcorn. Taste still ok. TGV was struggling for a while, but now not bad. Still prefer GSC, they use more caramel. 2. Seating wise, KLCC TGV is a bit old and cramped. Midvalley better. But TGV 1U is not bad now after renovation. 3. |

QUOTE(sugarbaby @ Sep 8 2014, 08:40 PM) Hi all, It depends on the outlet. Overall GSC but I prefer TGV at KLCC over the GSC at The Mines Seri Kembangan. During our last movie at GSC The Mines, the room stinked even though the air-conditioner was working. There were actually several foreign construction workers watching the movies there, Bangladeshis or Nepalese, sitting just beside me on the same row. There was this wet stinking smell from the seats due to previously sweaty people who sat on the seats in the cinema. The foreign workers who are frequenting these outlets are not helping either. I do think the cheap price tickets may have contributed to this phenomenon. I'm doing a survey on TGV vs GSC and I hope you guys can give me feedback on the 2 operators. Positive & negative, as long as constructive feedback, especially on their FB & website promotions, contests, etc. Thanks again! The best (cleanest) cinema with nice comfortable seats without the stinking smell is GSC Gardens, and of course it comes with a price, almost double the price of normal screening. The TGV at KLCC is overall cleaner and nicer than the stinking GSC in The Mines. We have scratched GSC The Mines out in our future movie watching. The GSC rooms in Mid Valley are always too packed and looks as if it is heading in the direction of GSC The Mines. |

I always use the maxis reward to buy 2 tickets for RM10 at TGV (std seats) if not will go for morning show RM7 per ticket at TGV and just signed up thier movie club for RM28 get 2 complimentary tickets and 2 drinks and a popcorn. Birthday month will get another 2 free tickets with drinks and popcorn as well. Accumulate point to redeem free tickets.
For, GSC will use citibank cc to buy RM10 per ticket. Frankly speaking I go to cinema for movie not snacks so i usually don't patron the snack bar whatsoever |

I like TGV but stopped going to TGV because of 2 reasons:
1. They jacked up their movie ticket prices like mad. Almost RM 20 for a movie, seriously? 2. So strict with their "bag checking" no outside food policy. I feel like I'm entering a prison instead of a cinema if I'm subjected to bag checks all the time. If people aren't buying your F&B products means it sucks. So instead of being a crybaby and check everyone's bag, why don't TGV improve the F&B menu instead? |

Applies to debit or credit card holdersAnd with the Movie Club thingy, it's not about spending money without some returns. This post has been edited by UserU: Sep 19 2014, 10:51 AM |
