Like dares said, workshop will demand releasing fee & claim back your towing servis. Towing servis RM300 onwards(can't claim back insurans). Usually outside workshop will delay claim registration from next working day ONWARDS, up to 14 days so they can arrange their workload. In any withdrawal case, they'll turn back immediately register your claim & make u miserable. After tow to SC, SC unable to register your case.

At this point, u will have to die die go back to the 1st shop ask for release(usually the prx in semenanjung is RM3k ONWARDS), OR, u'll have to spent anor furtune to tow the car from SC back to the shop. Even if u do that, the shop will still repair your car, but may have a lot of EXTRA nasty things FOC.

Trust me, not worth the trouble liao. Get an experienced mech(must be close fren) to go inspect the car during koleksen. As for woranti, u will have to live in faith liao. Let's hope it get by yawn.gif

Me, will definitely NOT fall for the 1st tow truck that arrived laugh.gif Usually call for AAM, agreed to pay them towing fee(exciden excluded from coverage, fall under insurans komani towing serbis claim under tuntutan insurans). If AAM still refused, then no choice wait for a few more tow truck came, then offer RM300 see who willing to tow my car to Plotong SC instead of their own workshop laugh.gif Yes, that RM300 unclaimable unless Plotong SC willing to help. Can or not, request for official receipt from the tow truck just in case. Best is call back insurans komani helpdesk, ask to check for authorized panel workshop which is appointed by the SC(Yes Plotong SC is not repair shop, they usually register their repair shop under a different name, but the "shop" still within SC compound). Ask the SC workshop send tow truck. This 1, subject to availability(working hour, and SC is opened-Sunday for example).

His case? If die² wanted to bring the car out, can try call to insurans komani, ask whether the claim has been registered. If not, sendiri make a notification to the insurans komani, ask them to stop the claim case of his car from THAT particular workshop, state which Plotong SC workshop going to send, baru go withdraw the car. Still, need to pay the towing servis though. If the workshop make a fuzz, then go pulis stasen make lipot say hijack kar. Give statement say the tow truck agreed to send Plotong, ended up their own workshop lidat lor. Say wanna go take back the kar, they bring parang out etc etc. Bling the lipot and a pulis ronda to withdraw the car lor. The risk is, if after took out, Plotong dun wanto accept the kes, then really hailut.com.my to the max jor laugh.gif

And if the case being registered, then be ready to pay "ransom" jor. Still subject to whether Plotong willing to accept the kes, if not, again https://wtf.hailut.com.my jor doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

same here, even on my previous incident, i had insurance to toll the car back to my house, place the wreckage there for over a week while i hunt for a suitable workshop that meets my requirements.

however for others (like BBQSuckerx3 for example) , especially already up car, first time i've heard need to pay 3k ransom fee just to get it out sad.gif

but yea i think at this point pray they purposely/slowpoke haven't register, and self intervene towards insurance company to cancel the registration i guess?

Simply let unknown tow truck tow to unknown workshops. Seriously ready to pay few thousands even though minor problem. If not car cannot be collected.

Luckily I've had boss friend who know that workshop tauke, and assure everything will be original and sheets, just harapharap they will be honest then.

Otherwise nothing really can be done..

Due to my case, is my car in serious damage or just minor damage?

Not too serious. If I got a workshop, and if there's less than 5 cars working simultaneously, 5 days job AFTER approval from insurance company. Include new paint & oven bake.

1st day order part and stripping off affected components. If got enough time, will start to turun engine + gebox
2nd day up hydraulic jack, pull chassis. Start to put back suspensions. Up engine + gebox. If got enough time, will start installing body panels and test fit skirtings.
3rd day morning, putty, surface, skinning old paint. Under hot sun dry up. Water test 1 round to test leak. Under hot sun dry again. Spray base coat in the evening.
4th day morning, pak under hot sun continue dry until noon. Spray paint. 3pm masok oven. 5pm come out. If not too busy, can start install back headlamps, skirting, door accessories.
5th day moning, ask clerk call customer collect car in evening. Start water test, by afternoon the car should be ready jor. Pak across the street and wait for collection.

Before 6:30, ask banggalah go pretend very rajin wash car and wait for customer collect car. So customer will appreciate my 5 star job cool.gif "Haiya Mr.Hensem, jiu kam so early ka? I tot jiu wang kam 8pm geh. Early gao dim jor lor. I ask my banggalah wash kar kao kao for yiu mar! How? Leng mou? Like niu kar lidat ar!"

During collection, so you can mark 1 by 1 to see which 1 has been changed. Your SA mechanic background? Can he tell the difference between imitation product?
