Tire soft or hard sidewall for me. Soft got soft good, hard got hard good but if I have soft sidewall then can pump in more air to compensate back.
*
hard sidewall cannot "un hard" it sad.gif
but i suppose under inflating it a bit like maybe between 26-30 psi or something would h opefully help hmm.gif

There's no way to "un hard" a hard sidewall tyre. Reducing optimal pressure will lead to compensation of water repelling ability.

thanks for the info.
hence will need to really evaluate all the feasible options carefully for the time being.

Now I know why you say the AD08R does better on wet, just saw the juice you posted few days ago.

1) 140kph on dry, but hogging on overtaking lane to take a tight right turn, the only thing you get is LOTS OF UNDERSTEER, especially on performance tyre.
On 4:43, if that understeer was did on purpose to dodge the opposite traffic then I understand. If you think it's a tyre incapability, then it's because you're having roll steer. From the speed of 120kph, on a tight corner, with 0 gas pedal input, it's like you're rolling a 50cents coin on a slanted manner yawn.gif Increase gas pedal input will change the entire situation immediately.

2) The wet vid, from the road reflection looks like 60kph. Ofcourse it hold the road decently. Try it again with 140kph, you probably won't have a chance to read this post.
*
oh that part on 4:43 is ok (no tire squeals, no asc)... because i was already afraid on the characteristics already.
basically misjudged the line due to overtaking, but as you said, should probably increase the gas pedal input for more applied traction.

refer to just 0:30, that rough "scraping sound"/familiar ABS sound was basically the individual brakes modulated on the car to maintain stability - aka asc kicked in.
i was like, lolwut?
"ok it was maybe a fluke"
0:40-0:50
lol again asc intervened with tires squealing - ok fine something is horribly wrong rofl.
can no longer concentrate on the run and start to ponder on what's the problem.

i did regain composure after a few corners because thoughts like these would endanger myself and potentially other road users, so i just wrapped up that thought and continue on the run.

as for the wet, it is as you said, on highlands i was only about 60, after gohtong speed pickup between 70-100+
i did however did some left right swerving tests to see how the tire reacts under heavy water puddle and it seemed fine. although yes it is a lot lower speed and the comparison is rather unfair.

with all that said, i have been warned by rcs folks that the grip i am having now is a false sense of grip, the dampers aren't pushing the tires to the road hard enough.

remember the link you gave? page 5

QUOTE
Then there was another interesting piece, on a Honda Minivan, where they tested both the basic model and the high tier model together. They both had all season tires, the exact same brand and model, but the basic model had them H rated and the high tier model had them V rated. The basic H model did very well in the lift-throttle and change lane test (the one we were talking earlier in this thread) and went through at speed of 102 km/h. The V rate tire model, thought, barely passed at only 100 km/h and the tester was commenting that due to the soft suspension and specific geometry on such vehicle, the car rolls a lot more (it is a minivan!) and at that point the softer tire wall H rated tires actually help a lot more (work a lot better) than the stiffer side wall V rated tires, therefore the higher tier car could not go as fast as the lower tier counterpart.

i'm pretty much dealing with that sweat.gif

Theory kicked in whistling.gif Ayam glad you pay attention to that, now you have better understanding of why such tyre behave weirdly and NOT doing what it supposed to. The thread owner was 1 of the well known motorcycle suspension tuner laugh.gif It's the hobby kinda mentality make them great flex.gif

i'm grateful to them as well.
they have nothing to gain yet they've contributed so much over the years so that it saves other people time/money from going down the wrong path (just as they once did)

comparatively on our local scene, everyone would rather keep valuable (keyword here, money) information to themselves/make a buck out of it. sad.gif

They aren't wrong, and i certainly don't blame people for making a living. It's just well, sad. with my lack of ability to describe how i feel.

Sad for me. An unknown car must have bumped onto my Persona while parking. Scratched the bumper, fender and wheel cap. Fender is pushed in a little, forcing the arch to pop out like 'bucu' in the middle. Sigh... Why are there reckless people like this...

A very sporting abam from STOC, the only GaGa that day participated. He say go there as a tourist, literally TOUR the track only. Initially he did some horrible timing, like 1'30. Kena chase back 1 round even only 4 laps they did. Then gradually improve speed duing 2nd heat(still get chase back 1 round), he sporting until put signal and give way notworthy.gif

After lunch hour, kena brain wash by sifoo r3apers taught him how to put down his hot dogs on the grill, magahem immediately he brought his 1st+2nd heat best time from 1'13 up to 1'08 notworthy.gif It's either the abam very powderful, or it's r3apers magic word brought him up notworthy.gif

eh what happened? organizer released too soon and caught up to him or something?

STOC is saga (what is t?) owner club?
