That MC player tackled him and Keane was injured for a while IINM,read on wikipedia..damn man..
anyways, even if he's not captain material, I want him to be el capitan as a recognition for his work in this club since he was 18 years old (although he wanted to be transfered...twice!)
Rooney relies on 'fear' and emotion to approach players, like what he did last week. Like SGSuser said, he is the only capable leader apart from other inconsistent players like Evans, Fletcher etc.
We no longer have players like Keano or Vida to lead by example. Only time will tell if Rooney is a deserving captain for us.
Really bad timing for rooney, of course players does mistakes at times but i didnt expect that coming from rooney especially after how he seems to have matured over the years.
Concern will be on the chelsea game, i still havent seen much of falcaos killer instincts.
A win which didnt felt like one. Glad to have three points in the bag though
ADM - was a bit off Blind - unlike previous matches his passes were rather awful, unnecessarily gave danger to the defense with his back passes, could've been easily a 2-2 at first half. McNair - confident going forward at first half, maybe at the break he got told not to do that in second half, overall good. Herrera - Scholesy who can tackle and intercept, couldn't describe any better, the most worrying thing at today's match was to see he's injured. Rojo - quality player, gotta be a confirmed regular CB, he doesn't carry forward his awful disciplinary record at Sporting (at least so far) Shaw - decent start, tend to stay deep which is good, not to open much void at back considering Rafael actively going forward to balance, forming 3-4-1-2 when United attacks. Falcao - like in previous match, he might have been surprised he's at the role of provider instead of the one who scores, decent.
Glad to see that Mata is going to play for the next 3 matches.
I don't know why, although we've won, but I'm not that happy. I'm more concern about the team.
Exactly. Another unconvincing performance by the team. It is alarming how they can dominate the first half and totally fall apart after the hour mark. This has already happened twice in two consecutive games, and this time at home. And what Rooney did was utter stupidity. What is there to be frustrated about when you are leading 2-1 with no real threat from the opposition...
