I am consoling myself by remembering that even under SAF we have suffered some really huge losses in the past to teams that you would hardly call "giants" (Newcastle, Southampton, etc).
Additional syok sendiri consolation thoughts:
- di Maria has been amazing. His price is insane, but honestly if we can afford it (and we can thanks to Kayu commercial deal skills) then he has shown he is a player we needed to give our attack a boost. Trickery, skill, speed, energy... he has it all.
- Blind has been better than I expected. Not superman, but not as raw as feared. He will get better over time as he adapts.
- Compared to last season, at least the team play is exciting to watch. Better passing, more interesting attack. At one point last season, not only were results poor, the style of play was getting boring.
- We always knew that it would take time. Time for LVG to train the team to perform (3 months was the estimate before he even started an official game). Time to bed in new signings (you don't sign 6 players and expect them to gel overnight, and we have released/sold a lot of players too).
- Our team is filled with guys who are building their fitness (Falcao, di Maria, RVP, Shaw). Once they're all firing on cylinders, the team performance will improve.
- At least this was an away game at a stadium that has already shown it will be tricky to visit (Everton, Arsenal held here even before our shit result).
- We can point to the ref for making some wtfhuh decisions too (imagine if the ref had a perfect game, result would be better OR if we had the same result then it would reflect even worse on our team).
That said... the team needs to have more mental resilience. A collapse like that is really not acceptable. Getting beaten is one thing, but such mental weakness is another.
I agree with ya.Went mad mode when City defeated United 6-1..

And when they snatched a late winner thanks to AGUERO!

How many heavy defeats have we had?The most painful for me is the 6-1.

Not much he could have done with most of the goals but should have done better with the 4th goal. Once the striker was clear, he should have came up and narrow the angle.
The opponent isn't someone skilled who can chip the ball as smooth as Di Maria.
I was wondering why he didn't rushed to Vardy? And made himself big. Oi
sinoffire,ditch him la woi!
