Ajax and PS$ is turning into Milan and Celtic now, our regular teams in CL.

Great match again against Villareal. They are really hungry.
I'm happy that Munir and Sandro got the nod over Deulofeu.
They're much better than Deulofeu. They may not be so skillful but football isn't 100% skill.
You need a whole lot of brain which is something Deulofeu lacks.

QUOTE(Peculator @ Sep 1 2014, 03:05 PM)
It was good considering that their star player was in the bench. I thought Madrid gonna feast Sociedad but in the end the table was turned.  rclxms.gif
There were some of the attempts that hit the posts for Villarreal.

Anyways, it'd be nice if the main posts to be filled with info such as fixtures, results, lineups and other important things.

I will (hopefully) complete all that on Friday night or weekend. At the moment just the bare minimum to allow new posts in new thread.

I'll try to include Barca B info as well, seeing that this season's Barca B is loaded with talents. (Wenger go away!)

Slowpoke result here: Barca B 4 - 1 Zaragoza during the weekend.

Mistakenly thought Liga Adelante also have International break, because there's 3 B team players who are senior international players.

I personally disagree with the part where they gave credit to the current board though.

For tonight's (or rather tomorrow morning) CL match, we might see the youngsters getting playing time again.

SQUAD: Ter Stegen, C. Bravo, Piqué, Rakitic, Xavi, A. Iniesta, Messi, Neymar, Rafinha, Bartra, Douglas, Sergi Roberto, Adriano, Dani Alves, Mathieu, Samper, Sandro, Munir.

MAtS to make his debut?

Sergi Roberto / Sergi Samper getting to play DM with Masche and Busquets not in the squad?

One of Munir / Sandro get to start the match in attack?

Gonna be interesting.

Really hope it will soon enough. What bother me what is our countermeasures agaisnt counter attack especially agaisnt a fast pace team. I noticed lately other team will take their best chance when we were taking corney kick, that the moment where our remaining defenders defend to high. Messi performance so far i think still very outstanding however, i see other team defenders will do everything it takes to close him, that makes him in very difficult situation. Real madrid performance currently really superb which really worries me too. N cr7 really at his best form. I bet he'll this year ballon d or. Honestly i think we might win the liga somehow but not ucl this season. I missed pep era where we r like invisible, we crush most team handsomely. But changes is also needed in order to improve n becoming better however i still no see it yet with our current display. N our defend department also not really convicing. I need ur guys opinion on our team performance currently under lucho, messi performance and our defensive department.

Hopefully rumours of Pique leaving is not true. We already hit by transfer ban, cannot let another defender leave. Hope Enrique can get the best out of him. He used to be solid

our thread really inactive for a while now. i guess most of us here must be very busy with the real life commitment. me myself also cant be really active with whats going on with our club due to my commitment with my wife and little baby gal. anyway our latest win against cordoba was awesome, messi wasnt in his best form yet he scored 2 cool goals. suarez scored too. i hope we will stay competitive and keep pressuring RM. altho i admit that RM forms currently is at their very best.

I was hoping for a miracle since I missed both matches. And I just read the news, it was unfortunate that we're unable to take the advantage over Real's defeat against Valencia.

So a good start to 2015 guys, Gone is Zubi and on his way out is Bartomeu. Sad that Puyol has left but I hope he will come back once the administration has changed. We need someone that can plant some fortitude and winning mentality and determination, whoelse better at that if not our most successful kapitan? I am not sure if we want Laporta back to be honest with all the financial irregularities that led to his administration downfall. Then again could be Rossell who cooked up some figures as a low blow to defame Laporta. You cannot deny the titles that came to us during his reign.

Then there is the conundrum of Luis Enrique, I think he is not very good at handling world class footballers. And FFS he needs to come up with some sort of consistent tactic that is not bizzare and unworkable. I have not seen one obvious playing tactic, and if there is it is not playing to any of our player's strengths. We keep relying on Neymar and Messi's individual brilliance to win games, we are not gonna get far. Unless he changes this, or Bartomeu replaces him (unlikely) we are destined for a season with 0 silverware. (Maybe Joan Gamper trophy)

Thread's seems inactive for awhile.

That aside, close win last night against ATM for CdR. Can't wait for semi-finals either vs Villarreal/Getafe.

5-0 big win against Levante with the trio each scored and Messi got hat-trick.
Cleared 6 points ahead of ATM after their defeat against Celta and 1 point behind league leader RMA.

Back to winning form last Saturday. And thanks to RM and ATM that got draw last night, ATM 5 points behind and RMA only 2 points ahead. I was waiting for this moment for RMA to drop points and I had a hunch this morning while watching the match (only during 1st half and then I went to bed). It turn out to be right, they drew.

just noticed this thread is quite inactive. been lurking at barcaforum.

this week is crucial for us. we need to score early vs city then the player can relax abit on the 2nd half.

classico soon! madrid is back to their best 11 after modric and ramos return but this time our form is better than the 1st classico. not gonna miss this 4am match.

Asensio, Tello sertai Liga M?

user posted image

Cleared 4 points once again from RM. Late header save our ass.
I thought international break should give them some boost but never mind, we got a win anyways.

matches after an international break are always tough.
Real Madrid also has the same issue. The trashing vs Granada is an exception.
It had more to do with Granada bending over. Usually the teams that didn't have many international players playing for their countries have a full week or 2 to prepare but Granada didn't have a plan and just bent over.

Hmmmm yeah we'll still win the league but I won't be a happy camper.
It's not why I love Barca and Ajax for since the mid 90's when I first started watching football when I moved to Europe.

Difficult to win at a low score of 1-0 given the team's strength and quality. Celta was coached by Enrique previously, maybe that's why Barca struggled against them

Celta are always tough away. We are really unfortunate to play tough away matches after FIFA breaks.
Always a potential banana skin. Thankfully this team can grind out results unlike previous seasons.

'MSN' lead Barcelona rout of Getafe
FC Barcelona vs Getafe (6-0)

8′ Messi (p)
24′ Suárez
27′ Neymar
30′ Xavi
40′ Suárez
47′ Messi

The trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar Jr. was assembled to put Barcelona back on the track to glory. They were put together to make history, and to become the single most scary trident on the planet -- sorry, BBC. They are now.

On Tuesday night's 6-0 destruction of Getafe, 'MSN' combined to find the net five times, with a brace each for Messi and Suárez, plus a contribution from Neymar. With that manita of scores, The Death Trio reached 102 goals this season, becoming the highest scoring triumvirate in the history of the Catalan club. In 2015 alone, they have bagged 59 goals together, ten more than the entire Real Madrid roster. Incredible. Read more

A mouth-watering tie at Camp Nou on Wednesday sees Pep Guardiola return to face his former side for the first time as the Spanish and German giants go head-to-head in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final. Overall, the Catalans have played host to German opponents on 25 occasions, from which they have recorded 17 wins and suffered seven defeats.

Luis Suarez form as part of the attacking trio alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar, who have scored a record-breaking 108 goals between them this term, sees Barca top the La Liga standings and has also been a major reason behind their positive displays in the Champions League.
user posted image
Pep Guardiola is not so lucky, with a long list of injuries and a few key ones heading into the trip to Spain. Left-back David Alaba will be lucky to play a game again this season, whilst Holger Badstuber is out for the season. Javi Martínez has only just made his return after being out for most of the season, it would be a surprise to see the Spaniard feature in this one. Arjen Robben is out for the season with a calf injury whilst Franck Ribery is a doubt for this match having been troubled with an ankle injury. Robert Lewandowski is also a doubt, with a broken nose.

After watched the match just now, one thing to describe: Messi is just unbelievable, nice finishing for both goals. And Neymar too he knows how to act when Messi delivers the ball to him. Poor form for Suarez though he gets few tries that missed.

It's just that I'm afraid about Bayern that is strong at their home ground.

Stupid head-to-head rules that made us lost the league once under Rijkaard. Should use goal difference (EPL) or play off (Italy)

All in all, Barca managed to get 3 points and hold onto the lead in the table. They also managed to do that while playing their strongest attacking trio and yet not making them put in a heavy-shift. A win-win situation if anything.
The strike situation is something that will be resolved in the upcoming days and if it isn’t, Barca are assured of the Liga title and will lose out on the CdR, but it’s not how they would want to win the league. Definitely not like this. Hoping for a quick solution and Spain gets back to playing football that the world wants to see.

then we will be an enemy if juve goes to the final. both barca and juve are my favorite clubs, but if juve goes to the final, i want juve to win it. i really hope juve able to protect the lead and win against RM cause i dont wan another el classico, kinda bored abit already with classico. and why i want juve to win more than barca is because the last time juve wins it was in 1996 iinm, almost 2 decades already. i supported barca since 2000, and juve even before that, and during tht time till now, barce has won 3 times ucl, and with messi and co, i believe they can win even more, but for juve, it kinda a miracle that they come this far, with the current squad, altho an italian champ, nowhere new the level of barca, bayern and rm. so i wish juve to win this and established once again as one of the top european club, and be among the 3. forza juve. laugh.gif laugh.gif

btw on the hand, it will quite awesome for barca to beat all the european champs and win ucl. thumbup.gif plus if we(barca) beat alt madrid (laliga champion) this weekend(please no strike shakehead.gif ) then if we beat juve also, meaning we totally owned europe. drool.gif

Lost away ground but qualified on aggregate.
Quite a performance during first half (didn't watch the first half, read the summary on an app), and during the second half, playing defensively to waste time. That's when they scored another two. Almost scored during the stoppage time but too bad if it wasn't bad pass from Neymar.

Supercup de Espana - Barcelona Vs Atl Bilboa - again should be no problem
Fifa Club WC

i think the chances looks bright in order to get the sextuple again.

The chances are brighter only because this team is much more capable at breaking the bus compared to the other great teams of the past thus no matter who the opponent is, they will find a way to break it down, bus or no bus.

It's only a matter of time before someone like Mourinho to come up with a bigger bus. Opponent teams will find new ways to stop us. But I still hope attacking football which is more entertaining will win over boring bus

Good play from Barca again, as usual no sportsmanship from Madrid certain players again, intentionally to foul when can't win and get red card in the end. Loser attitude 👍

So, did the rule of dead ball from a penalty kick until opponent touches it already existed during cruyff's time?? Or is it barca's goalie can catch a backpass ball with no problem till today?

great result. looking forward for quarter.

imo the team looks like in 2nd gear, they stepped up their game again once arsenal got the goal. arsenal is a great team, lucky for us they just missed shitloads of chances.

villareal next. time to wrap the league

Unbelievable. Literally the last kick of the tie. Almost had a heart attack.
It was so reminiscent of Stamford Bridge in 2009.
This time I didn't smash my phone though.

Wow you're lucky... unfortunate for this guy though

A long time Barcelona supporter and Reddit user, CorsarioNero suffered a heart attack and passed away after watching Barcelona vs PSG.

Just read that from Twitter.

It's so unfortunate. It is supposed to be a happy moment for him but...
