yes, lack of AA defense. Taiwan mindef just think this ship to sink PLAN Aircraft carrier and destroyer/frigate.
event type 022 FAC also can fight, PLA at lease have 80 unit of 022.
some more future PLA will have at lease 500 unit Attack helicopter. no worry to take taiwan 500tons vessel down

anyway HMSD helmet not lighter. need custom inner liners for every pilot match head. Tiger pilot need doing head scan to computer before produce HMSD for pilot.

The Malaysian Government wants to procure aerostat systems to enhance maritime security over the contested Sabah territory of the island of Borneo.
Malaysian Bintang Kencana signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tcom to provide Malaysian Government with aerostat systems for maritime domain awareness, according to an official statement.
The Sabah region of northern Borneo is Malaysian territory, though Malaysia's claim to the area is disputed by a group of citizens from the Southern Philippines. These aggressors typically use small wooden boats to travel stealthily into Sabah from the Southern Philippines. These craft often pass undetected by conventional ground-based radar, and move completely unseen under the cover of darkness. TCOM's elevated surveillance solutions can monitor these waterways around the clock, day or night.
The memorandum was signed by Tcom’s president, Ron Bendlin during the U.S. - Malaysia Business Forum in New York City.

That why we need AESA radar with integrated FCS.... like Thales Herakles can handle 12 target at same time
anyway our Gowind will install 2 unit TMX/EO Mk2 each ship, should be can handle 8+- target at max range 70km.

if infrared, the missile will have data link-up so can receive guidance from warship radar track.

yes， our Gowind fully support essm. and best SAM for Gowind， if with MK41 VLS with 8 hole we will have 32 ESSM unit (quad-Pack) which great for defense, compare to Vl-Mica now, which our Gowind ship only have 8 unit VL-Mica SAM for defense for 20km range only， basically very low level Anti-Air defense capability. event now i hope at lease RMN can change to CAMM missile with 25km range and can quadpack in into Sylver vls so we still have 32 unit missile.

Our ship radar not support Aster 15/30。

but this kind of test close from real war ? should target ship do some maneuverable try escape F21 or deploy anti torpedo decoy.
