Then, why u buy?! tongue.gif

Even Lee Sook Yee's fanboy xuzen also cursing now
though I felt that he's just being sarcastic brows.gif

I checked Lee Sook Yee wub.gif fund holding by looking at its 31/10/2014 Fund Fact Sheet and the fund has cash holding of around 23%, which is high for an equity fund. At the bottom of the page, at the fund manager commentary section, it says that the fund manager strategy is to buy on dips and on weakness opportunity.

Hence, with a 23% cash holding, the fund has ample opportunity to do just that. Contrast that with Chen Fan Fai's fund, they are holding cash around 18%.

Also, note that the 3-year average Standard Deviation of Lee Sook Yee wub.gif fund is 8.9%, which is classify as moderate.

I believe, this fund will bounce back when market recovers.

p/s note that cash or more correctly termed money market fund gives around 3.3 to 3.4% p.a. nowadays. So, 25% x 3.4% = 0.85% is already a given risk free gain in the fund at this moment in time.

Hey Guys, has anyone entered SenSEX?
*
Already started my exposure to Sensex via Manulife-India Equity. My target exposure is 25% of my equities exposure. I will underweight my M'sian equities exposure unless those that are EPF-MIS funds in which case I don't a choice. I love my Hwang-PRS for its global diversified exposure.

Take a look at REITs related unit trust fund... they are good defensive position to be in during this volatile times.

Why don't buy REITs directly? hmm.gif
*
Through a REIT Fund I will be able to know its annualised volatility as it is stated clearly in the fund fact sheet. Individual REITs volatility aka Std-Dev not shown, and my algo formula need Stan-Dev as an input parameter.

25%??  blink.gif  woah..
i thought Asia Pac has a bigger upside? What's ur % in that?
*
Agree, Asia-Pac should be your anchor or form part of the core portfolio. SenSexy is satellite or non-core portion. Sen-sexy will sex'ed up your alpha during its bull run. Call it rotational play.

Just started my account today and using my EPF which is 10k to start off with. Can someone advise me what to do now? I read so much but everything is just confusing. All I know is India sensex is a good place to start but I want to buy local UTs first
*
Sen-sexy is too sexy for EPF, it is not available for EPF-MIS.

With EPF, you are stuck with Bolehland nia.... boring but safe, Bolehland jaga your beta!

The only bright spot for developed market is US. Keep or add RHB-OSK-GS US Equity.

Do any of you buy EASTSPRING INVESTMENTS SMALL-CAP FUND  , i had just bought 2 months ago, loss RM140 with the investment of RM 1000, this fund risk is very high-- rate 9 , it also indicates higher return too . However, i will just see for the long term one to wait for return profit.
