MARKET PERFORMANCE IN 3Q 2014

Increased geopolitical tensions in Russia-Ukraine and Middle East, an Ebola outbreak in West Africa, a dampened economic outlook in Asia (particularly for China and Japan) and stagnating economies in Europe have been the hot headlines in 3Q 2014, with these factors continuing to weigh on investor sentiment. Global equities (as represented by MSCI AC World Index) saw a sluggish performance over the quarter, delivering a tepid return of 0.03%. Europe equities saw a -4.86% decline in 3Q 2014 amid the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the continued struggle against a deflationary environment and sluggish growth in the region. Emerging Markets (as represented by MSCI Emerging Markets Index) also followed suit with a -1.21% decline over the quarter while Asia ex Japan (as represented by MSCI Asia Ex-Japan Index) delivered a positive return of 0.64%.

The Malaysia equity market (as represented by FBM KLCI Index, which comprises the largest 30 companies by market capitalization), ended the quarter with a negative return of -1.03% while the small to medium-cap segment (as represented by FBM Small Cap Index) rose by 4.75% in 3Q 2014.

Due to recent sell off, my AIWEF got wiped off 7% of return.

HAQF also wiped off 7% of ROI.

IRR below 5% now!

My CIMB GTF is -2%.

But this fund doesn't really perform well. It's within range for the whole February 2014 till now:

There's no time indication whereby one should switch or not.

Some said use the switching method to "lock" the profit.

Portfolio bleeds heavily.
