I am travelling with relatives to Singapore. Normally, I take train if I travel alone. However, they wanted bus.

Here are my questions:

- How long is the journey?
- How many stops they make during the journey?

So far, from many websites, they have the timetable but not on journey duration.

The majority of double-decker buses in the UK are between 9.5 metres (31 ft 2 in) and 11.1 metres (36 ft 5 in) long, the latter being more common since the mid-1990s, though there are three-axle 12-metre (39-foot-4-inch) models in service with some operators.

Most of the Bus use Tuas Checkpoint and it no jam is about 5 hours.

Aeroline (1U) - Only stop at R&R - RM100+
Transtar (1U, Sunway, Jalan Imbi)- Only stop at R&R - Depend on Class RM50-RM120
Starmart (Time Square) - Only stop at R&R - RM50
FirstCoach - (1U, Bangsar & Subang) - only R&R - RM50
Grassland (Time Square) - Yong Peng R&R - RM50-RM55

Take First Coach, quite cheap

Else, take Aeroline, more espensive than First Coach but more choices of stops

About 5.5 hours.

Aeroline use to be less than 5 hours but my last time I used, they used Causeway which took another 1-hour instead of Second Link (to save cost)

Depending on the destination in Singapore.

Tuas to city center can take half an hour to one hour during peak periods. If the destination is western Singapore, get a bus that allows early alighting, and switch to a CausewayLink city bus at Tuas CIQ. Tuas to Boon Lay is ten minutes. No severe congestion expected. Congestion usually starts somewhere before Jurong Town Hall Road exit.
Tanjung Kupang to Tuas is affected by truck traffic, and occasionally bus traffic, at Tuas CIQ. Worst case in recent years is additional half an hour delay. Longest in history may be one hour.
Immigration clearance for tourists may add another half an hour.
TBS to Tanjung Kupang is usually affected by the congestion in KL and Selangor, also Negeri Sembilan, which can add another half an hour.

Without congestion, should be minimum 4.5 hours, unless the driver speeds. I would expect 5.5 hours as the norm.

Took the bus(Luxury) from Sheraton hotel to Singapore(stop at the old Le Meridian hotel at Orchard Road). That was some 2 years ago. Took just over 2 hrs to get to Yong Peng. About half hour break. Took just over 2 hrs to get to JB . Clear Malaysia immigration and then off to Singapore immigration(approx. 20 mins/30 mins) Then off to Orchard Road
Overall about 6 hrs

There are a lot of buses for you to consider at TBS. The duration is about 5.5 - 6.5 hours depending on driver speed, traffic, and custom.

Train stops at Woodlands. To reach SG city, they have to take 911 SMRT bus then MRT to the city.

Depend on the driver. If not so daring, then 5-6 hours. If the driver is daring, then maybe 4 hours. If the driver is extra-daring, you will probably never arrive.

Err....customs and immigration at Woodlands has separate counters for train and bus passengers? Or the same?

I see the crowd coming in by buses, I would rather take a train if there are separate counters.
