I have a cousin who heard that one friend's friend wants to get a dog (a good breed with MKA cert) from a supposed seller but the person only giving the dog out because she said she wants someone dog loving to take the dog.

However, the recipient needs to pay about RM600 to the transporter company and the sender is requesting Full Name and IC Number and Address for the receipt of the dog.

Could this smell like a scam or does such service exist?

it a scam.. if u transter the money then they will give u the ticket as a proof and then later they will say need top up.. the pet at kastam or etc.. need to buy insurance and etc..

why i know all this? it is because im a victim few years back.. buying a dog from mudah. seller say he from singapore.. then because i urgent need and i bank in via western union.. and it a pomeranian RM 600..

So better cod.. dont let cheap price to blind your eye

You can try and see how lo.. 3-4years back i kena scam la.. now dont know how they scam.. if you kena scam then let us know about new trick

Maybe u ask them give you the transporter company name and check.. dont rely on website.. try call and check yellow book or go to the company see is it exist

first of all, i believe your friend got this seller's info from petfinder, mudah or else where. secondly the seller claimed to be a widow and from sabah and give the pure breed pet with cert for FOC. its a scam and i almost kena when i wanted to get a cat.
