no headlight tint but the car does come with that crappy eyelid stuff doh.gif  It's a second hand car bought from car dealer so  sweat.gif update * asked my sister and she did give to some bangala shop do headlight polish  doh.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Because it kinda obstruct the light so i just remove it with a knife and goo gone  for the residue  biggrin.gif
oh ya not my car i just google myvi eyelid  laugh.gif

Chronology goes as follows

- last year december did projector retrofit by a forumer here ( Didn't put HID yet just put the projector  laugh.gif )
- polished my headlight with plastx and seal with headlight protection myself (still clear but have very minor hazing)
- removed the stupid bloody eyelid and cleaned with goo gone and reapply headlight protection
- February borrowed my car to my sister till last sat take back
-Feb- august (???) polished by bangala as my sis told  sweat.gif
- Currently - Ruined lens  doh.gif

*
ok this seemed like a case of "having a problem, then making it worse trying to correct it"

things like this, sorry to say you were "cooking" the headlamp via convection (if my science is still correct, do correct me if i am wrong)
oh and projector retrofit? speaking of making matters worse.
let this be a lesson to you: please avoid HID/projector retrofits. (and those silly eye lids)

so, chances are there is no hope but to replace the headlamp.
that is my opinion, feel free to find a second opinion.

yaya not exposed areas, is at the b-pillar there, u know they sell those kind of rubber thing to clamp on the lip of the rear door, to reduce wind noise.
*
clamp? i know know got those 3m adhesive ones.

i supposed in the future, you may consider avoiding those devices.

yeah, lesson learnt. Is actually a rubber, but instead of sticking with 3m tape, it hold itself tightly on the end of the door by having metal inside the rubber so it can hold on the lip tightly. So wat are the rust removal product that i shud be using? and also touch up paint product, can give me some link or product name?
*
ah that's the problem.

generally for rust removal there isn't any specific product. i would personally suggest wd40 (or equivalent product, so long penetrates rust) and sandpaper.

for paint, if the part isn't exposed, cincai any paint will do.
coat a few layers after dry/cure.

of course make sure surface clean (of wd40 or products you used to sand off the rust) before painting.
touch up paint, i would recommend ezytouchup (google/order online)

i also feel that way  laugh.gif  expensive lesson tho  laugh.gif btw my projector never put HID cause lazy  laugh.gif i suppose is the polishing by unskilled people and probably extreme exposure to sun for that 6 months causes it to deteriorate that fast  sweat.gif i also noticed alot of swirl and scratches on literally whole car. WTF  shakehead.gif

TLDR- never borrow car to anyone that don't bother to take care of it  laugh.gif

btw thanks man for the insight  laugh.gif  time to hunt for potong headlamp liao  brows.gif
*
np, good luck in your hunt, be it a detailer that may be able to correct it (i doubt, or the service charge is probably more expensive than a half cut headlamp) or as you said, half cut headlamp.

Guys need help my car found black color thing on the paint even I wash , detailer or wax also can't fix it what I need to do , if not mistaken the black thing is the flower or leaf that are rotten and fall down on my car so become the brown n black color below is the picture fo reference

[attachmentid=4805148]
*
try to clay and if cannot clay polish.

obviously detailer or wax (particularly wax, as they are meant for last step protection) won't fix it if it's deeply etched in

im using ezy touch up paint to repair stone chip on my car but i think i use the paint to much and now it look uneven and a bit ugly. anyway to fix it?

wet sand maybe?
*
sand > compound > polish > glaze/filler

start from mildest to aggressive polishing if the milder one doesn't help. then after you got the results, work back to milder to smoothen out the surface.

patience is key, please do not rush it as you may worsen things.

today i was chatting with my buddies about pressure washer and hose thingy then he shoot me a random question about why his (and my house  tongue.gif ) water hose keep getting detached from the tap when a spray nozzle with on/off is used. which means the water pipe could not sustain the pressure build up and "pop" detached  laugh.gif i never bothered about it before but now that it is discussed i am also curious about the solution. if my understanding is correct we need
-a good hose
-tap adaptor that lock the hose onto the tap
right sifus?

*sorry out of topic but since it is hose used for car washing so i guess it is somewhat relevant right  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
and that is why i modded my hose with a tap that can screw on this setup:
http://www.claber.com/en/cod/9035/Spiral-k...ral-Kit-De-Luxe

and when i need to use my karcher, just unplug the trigger gun and plug it into my karcher pressure washer (its an anti leak universal clip thingy setup)
http://www.claber.com/en/cod/9025/Quick-Cl...-13-mm-coupling "clicks" to fit

What is the difference between masking tape and painter's tape.

Went to the hardware shop and asked for painters tape, he showed me masking tape. He ensured me that painters use this paint to cover the edges.

??? I'm confused.

Can anyone enlighten me on this? TIA
*
good/expensive painter's tape from 3M will leave minimal to no glue residue.

imagine having to deal with glue residue stuck on your car after you dont your polishing. nightmarish isnt it?

So there's only 3M quality painter tape? It's pretty hard to source in my opinion

Any other brands or perhaps pointers to obtain this 3m painter's tape?
*
ace hardware got, only problem is they aren't cheap.

anyone here have any experience cleaning the aircond's condenser coil before?  the one infront of the car dissipating air cond heat.  Any good recommendation on the A/C coil cleaner?
*
not specifically the ac condenser, however when i clean the engine bay i will spray degreaser on the condenser/radiator fins as well since the majority of dirt they will get are exhaust/carbon etc from other vehicles/on the road.

LSP? you mean BSD?

I really almost died when I found out it was the wheel cleaner. So scared it will do harm to my car paint but luckily, no visible harm ='(
*
last step protection, could be wax and then BSD layered/topping over it, or plain bsd, your call.

I see. I don't have wax available to me so i just apply BSD over it laugh.gif oh well...
*
highly recommended to get a wax over as a base layer and bsd will really enhance it's protection/gloss/durability smile.gif
