Don't know if I should wake up for the match tonight or not, every time I do something like this, the team ends up losing sad.gif

I think BR will not put both Mankiyo and Moreno together, its either one of them with Johnson.

As for midfield, we know Gerrard and Hendo is a sure starter, so its either Can, Allen, or Lucas for another spot.

Front 3 definitely will be Sterling, Sturridge, and Coutinho. And I am guessing Markovic will get his PL debut replacing either Sterling or Coutinho at the last 20 mins or so.

My prediction line-up. Score would be 0-2. Hendo and Sturridge. Mignolet god mode, deny every MC chances.  biggrin.gif

----------------Mignolet----------------

Mankiyo---Lovren---Skrtel---Johnson

----------------Gerrard-----------------

-----------Hendo------Allen-------------

---Sterling----Sturridge----Coutinho---

can't risk by putting couth on the left as he will be wasted. His best position is in the middle. Struj can play there even he is also prefer central forward. But he can get his goal any way. The key is sterling, he is the one who can break down citeh d-line with his pace and passing. Couth better find Sterling first .

Had he defended properly southampton wouldn't have equalised in the first place.

He did a lot of things wrong but he wasn't at fault for the goal we conceded. That was mostly on Lucas and Skrtel to an extend.

I dont know if he the one who we should blame at first Steerling was guarding Clyne. Clyne pass and drift to the middle where Lucas is there. Steerling didnt keep track on Clyne. Johnson were behind Steerling guarding on the left side.

A trick pass over Lovren and Clyne were through. Johnson were running but it was too late.

Defended properly you said? I dont see the fault should be solely blame on him itself for the first goal.

Ya, Couth's best position is th middle. Put him on the left, we're screwed. rclxub.gif

Sterling's pace could do some damage.

My biggest concern is our backline, starting from DM. Gerrard will need to be on his toes and break up play.

Sterling maybe should have pressed him earlier but the reason why he didn't track Clyne is because we defend with zonal. Sterling waited for Clyne to go 1vs1 against him but Clyne moved inwards and away from him. At this point, it was down to Lucas to track him and Skrtel to block the shot.

I still think he will be put on the wing for this match, maybe after Balotelli is here, when we play back diamond formation with 2 strikers up front, then Coutinho will get back his no.10 roles.

I think Skrtel was doing ok in that incident. He was throwing his tackle all in but it was just too late or should I say Clyne shot was just unstoppable at that range.

Lovren shouldnt have allowed the through pass in. He was too easily tricked.

Anyway I do hope Johnson haters dont just blame everything on Johnson. He might caused a lot problem but the tackle that he made does deserve some praise.

last season he was good coz

-----------------Couth-----------------

Suarez--------Struj-----------Sterling

He is not that efficient when playing along side with struj and sterling, he needs to play behind the fowards. Balo in kambing will revert the formation back to tihs

my view,
Although, it is joint effort to defend properly,
Lucas should share the most responsibility of not tracking Clyne run when he run passed in front of him that a DM should able to spot opponent dangerous overlapping run.

When someone make overlapping run, midfielder especially DM should be tracking, but on the goal scored incident, we can see ball watching instead. doh.gif

coutinho can shine in the middle IF the opponent didnt mark him.. he single handedly destroy arsenal, dortmund last time..

i think city will probably win 2-1 something like that.. unlikely for us to win unless lazar really make me surprise which i doubt

Basically when he's being pulled back into midfield ? Because we don't use a no 10 with 433 and Sterling is preferred as the no 10 with the 442 diamond.

In modern football, the role of a DM is now very important. Must be commanding in midfield yet good with tackle to break up play. Essien was one of the best in this role. We do not have a proper DM in Stevie cry.gif and Lucas is out of sort. That's why I think for City's match, a lightning fast and pressing game can take some heat of Stevie. Let's see how we cope....
