Currently considering either Honor 6 or Galaxy S4 (black edition with the faux leather back cover).
I know that 1 is the latest, and another one is > 1 year old model and has been replaced by the S5. But at this moment, both are having the same price range. Honor 6 wins on the specs, but I think S4 will have better stability and reliability? My requirements are only very basic, for normal phone calls, PIMs, Whatsapp/SMS, light browsing only. Screen size between 4" to 5" (prefer less than 5"), and RAM at least 1GB. But the body size should not be too bulky and it should look a bit more "professional', suitable for business use. Budget below 1k, that's why I narrowed down to these 2 models, else might consider Galaxy Alpha. Can anyone provide me some comments about this? And also if there are any other options which I have missed out? Thanks This post has been edited by lowyat101: Dec 2 2014, 02:31 PM |

QUOTE(incubus_skj @ Dec 2 2014, 09:25 AM) no budget limit, wa suka! Top of the line specs currently would be Xperia Z3, LG G3, Galaxy S5, Note 4, One M8, Moto X. If u ask me to pick 1, personally I'll pick the LG G3 or Xperia Z3. Not a fan of Samsung's TouchWiz and HTC Sense UI. G3 and Z3 UI is more closer to stock android's feel. For camera performance, imho Note 4 is the best camera phone in android community for now. QUOTE(itsuki @ Dec 2 2014, 10:06 AM) usage? any gaming? and also state ur budget. I think Oneplus One, Nexus 5, Honor 6 would be good upgrade from Xperia ZL without causing a big hole in ur wallet. QUOTE(milky @ Dec 2 2014, 12:41 PM) OnePlus One, LG G Pro 2, Honor 6top up a bit for LG G3, Galaxy S5 QUOTE(lowyat101 @ Dec 2 2014, 02:30 PM) personally I'll pick Honor 6, for the extra 1GB RAM. faster and smoother multitasking. Better camera too, bigger battery. While ur at it, I'll throw in OnePlus One, Nexus 5 into ur list. Both is at RM1069. The con is no microsd support though, unlike Honor 6. QUOTE(milotic @ Dec 3 2014, 05:18 PM) thanx a lot ya,, thinking about grand prime too........ what is the diff between grand prime n grand 2 ? http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPho...8&idPhone2=5862both is similar. Grand 2 slightly better in terms of display coz higher ppi and higher resolution. Slightly more ram, 0.5gb more compared to Prime. But Galaxy Grand Prime's processor and front camera is better than Grand 2. So maybe u can see which is more important for you before deciding. |

1. Brand: No preference. Have shortlisted either Samsung S4 or Honor 6 or Lenovo-equivalent to the previous 2 models mentioned.
2. Budget: RM1.1k max. 3. Specs: At least 5mp rear camera, dual-sim (if possible) 4. What you need in the phone: Light web browsing, Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Any recommendations? Thank you. |

What you need in the phone: Light web browsing, Whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Any recommendations? Thank you. First of all, it has dual sim and great camera as of your request. Multitasking would be no problem as it has big amount of RAM. You'll need a bigger battery if you need those apps that keep running in background such as Facebook, Instagram, etc. And Honor 6 would be a wise choice. You can check other phones such as Xiaomi Mi 4 and OnePlus One. |

1. Brand: Oppo/Lenovo/Xiaomi/other brands that seem cheaper (I wanted Samsung Note 3 but I don't have enough budget)
2. Budget: RM900-RM1k max 3. Specs and what I need in the phone: - 1-2GB RAM (I prefer 2GB buuuut if the phone is promising enough, I can go with 1GB) - at least 16GB built in memory, but can also add extra memory through SD card. - fast processor (as long as less lag) - good to decent camera. - decent screen size. - smooth operation. - less heating That's pretty much what I can think of, thanks in advance! |
