I still own a S5 but sony z1 is my main phone now, but thats mainly because i need a really waterproof phone. I can tell you you will enjoy S5 , the size is just nice and the camera is best this side of android can offer, very good night / darkshots. Screen is the best i have seen (before note 4 comes out and eclipse it) and very viewable under bright sunlight , the physical button and lack of on screen button makes the screen realestate bigger, overall a very nice choice. Dont know why people just talk down about it, but i find it very good,except for the real waterproofing part. Because the backcover still can be opened up, that makes it a bit less waterproof than the sealed Z1. The UI i always use NoVa as overlay and is quite acceptable at 4.4.2.

xiaomi redmi1s have good battery n camera, but its very heavy,slippery,laggy and heated easily. get honor 3c instead if can topup slight more..

Nexus 5, Xperia Z1. I would pick OnePlus One as it has 3GB RAM and supported by team CM. But if u wan better camera performance, u might wanna consider Z1.
